This month, we are looking at the Who, What, Why series, which explores how God’s people have been shaped throughout history. Although set for children, this series works as a nice refresher for adults, too!

Our Book of the Month, however, is What Was The Tabernacle, by Danika Cooley. So, come join us as we ask ourselves some important questions, such as: Who was Moses? Why did the Exodus happen? And, of course, What was the Tabernacle?

For this month, we’re going back to the basics. And by that, we mean probably one of the most basic foundations of Christianity: Prayer. As a Priest once asked a General, ‘how do you know what your orders are, if you do not talk to your Superior?’ So it is also with Christians. Communication is perhaps one of the most important pieces to Society, and as Christians, the way we communicate with the Boss, is through prayer and reading our Bible.

So, to help us on our journey, we are reading David Pawson’s Practising the Principles of Prayer. In his book, David shows how prayer can be active, rather than a more passive, one-way conversation, which, let’s face it, just one person speaking to a group isn’t a conversation, it’s a monologue, or a lecture…
