Good morning from Stand 8G65. If you fancy a trip to the NEC today you have the added choice of the Glammies, Tropic Skincare’s awards ceremony with live bands, dance routines, and glitter cannons. Mark and I may be trying to sneak in instead of being at Autumn Fair!

Arriving in the sunshine for Spring & Autumn Fair - the NEC is a strange place. Yesterday you had the choice between Peppa Pig and Reform Party Conference. Today Gladiators or Tutankhamun. And Autumn Fair, which is where you’ll find us on Stand 8G65.

Every corner of Britain has its own language.

Our 'No Place Like Home' range celebrates counties, cities and hometowns.

So, today we want to hear it: drop your favourite bit of local slang in the comments. The word or phrase that instantly gives away where you're from (or where your grandma's from).

We'll start things off...

Here in Northamptonshire, you might say 'frit' or 'peps'.

And guess where Mark is originally from, with phrases like 'snap's up' and 'mek me tabs laff'.

Shell's suggestions were 'got a bag on' and 'mardy'.

What's your favourite local slang? Pop it in the comments so we can guess the region. The more obscure, the better!

The testimonials keep coming, this one from Abbotsford, The Home of Sir Walter Scott, "We're very happy with the Coulson Macleod range at Abbotsford. The cards are a popular lifestyle purchase and a great impulse-buy item for visitors. Their distinctive designs help people connect personally with the stories, often inspiring them to find the perfect card for a friend or family member. The range has been very well received and continues to be a valued part of our retail offer."

Great testimonial in from Salisbury Cathedral, "The Heritage Collection is a unique range of cards which are both informative and witty. Our customers particularly like the Magna Carta and Stonehenge cards and I have already re-ordered after just a few weeks of having them on the shelves."

Who needs RHS Chelsea when we have Rutland Flower Show on our doorstep? We’re just two gardening amateurs enjoying the steep learning curve. Can highly recommend as a day out; lots of plant nurseries, lots of eating options, lots of shopping (we bought a beautiful bowl to add to our collection from Suffolk-based artist Kim Croysdill), and we listened to talks from two garden designers - Bunny Guinness (Gardener’s Question Time) and Adam Frost (Gardener’s World).
