We clapped for our NHS during COVID, now we need to do the same for our Fire services up and down the UK working immensely hard to control all of these wildfires. ❤️ 🧑‍🚒 🚒 🔥 Thank you for working tirelessly to keep us all safe.

As a SEN family, we don't really talk about the lengths we have to take to keep our children safe, even in our own homes.

Today, we had a locksmith install a biometric door handle and deadlocks. We are hoping it will provide some peace of mind that this is one way our eldest won't be able to escape from our home (for now).

Our eldest son has proven to us on one too many occasions that he is an opportunist, problem solver and this summer he has managed to test us, once again (just 1 short year after he got out last time after cracking the codes to coded bolts on doors).

Last year we added 6ft fences covered with artificial bushes to cover panels and this year we have had to up our game again with catio fencing, biometric locks and more window restrictors.

We are also having to pursue a new Octopus car harness as he can now get out of our previous ICSI magnetic harness.

End of term already.

Our youngest leaves nursery for good leaving behind some nursery workers who have seen us through 2 children. To say we are sad is an understatement but know it's time to move on to big school 💔

Our eldest goes into the summer a lot more settled and equipt with skills to handle his emotional regulation thanks to so many staff at his school showing up for him and playing a huge part in his day to day. You really don't know how grateful we are of you. 🙌

Raising a toast to our children's educators this evening, who all do their jobs for passion and not the peanuts.
