Evening all,

Just wanted to reach out to say thank you to everyone who came to support as we begin celebrating 50 years of Mr Tees, Kidderminster. We've collated some of the pictures from Saturday to share below.

Firstly, Martina MJ Jade and Lee, did a lovely job getting the decks out and playing bangers all day. We are looking forward to being at their festival and opening up more weekends in the shop with them. MJ, thanks again for supporting Stu & Ad straighten up the Dance Room for the open day.

Customers new & old, thank you for visiting. If you didn't make it, we had a steady stream of customers throughout the day, many new, in their words "overwhelmed", by the amount of Dance 12's we are selling.

We had an impromptu guest Darren Price aka Priceless "Can You Feel It", who found his production in the club classics section and for only £3. Stu noted "it was massive for Judge Jules, and not all amazing records are £25+". Darren was a sport and got the shop dancing by banging it on the decks! (Video will be posted below).

The team extends a thank you to Councillor Doug Hine, the Mayor of Kidderminster who passed through and caught up with Terry, Ad & Stu around some of the challenges we are facing. In particular, Stu took 5 to give Doug an overview of the high level of mental health challenges in our scene and the value our shop brings to the community and in bringing people together. We will do a wider share on this later in the week and we look forward to collaborating with some of the charities based in the Wyre Forest over the coming months to help with this cause.

Doug also span some tunes and you can see from the pictures he has excellent taste, lining up some Strictly Rhythm House classics.

Furthermore, Terry was broadcast on BBC Hereford & Worcester . Always pretty cool when you can say Robert Plant Led Zeppelin is one of our customers. Please take 5 minutes to listen if you get a chance, link in the comments.

Finally, please can we ask you share or tag your friends in this post as it's only through support like we had on Saturday that we can continue to thrive and look to grow what we do for Kidderminster and the wider music scene.

We have our FREE self-defence sessions for women and girls aged 10+ coming up 💙

Following the great feedback from our previous sessions, we’re continuing to create safe, supportive spaces where people can build confidence and learn practical skills. That’s why we’ve added five more classes.

Our first upcoming session takes place this Thursday at Russell Perks Martial Arts Academy, with more sessions planned in the following months.

Evening folks,

Bit of a lengthy post for the attention of anyone visiting the shop on Saturday!

If you've never visited before, local parking is limited to space and time within the Horsefair area of Kidderminster BID, this is made more challenging at the moment because of roadworks 😔.

As we are expecting to be busier than normal we recommend that you park at The Swan Centre and walk up to us 👌. (See image below).

Address for the car park is as follows:

4 Blackwell St, Kidderminster, DY10 2DP.

For anyone catching the train over, Kidderminster has a brilliant ale trail and we highly recommend you pass by at least two of our favourite pubs:

The station inn and The Bear and Wolf for a swift 🍺 or 3. The food at the Station is very nice as well 🙏

Finally, remember to keep some time aside to pop next door to Untold Comics for a dose of comics, Warhammer 40,000 and collectables.

If you are visiting us for our open day next weekend, I just wanted to recommend that you leave some time to visit Untold Comics which is located conveniently next door to us.

Rich has a massive selection of rare collectables, complete collections of comics, Warhammer 40,000 paints, figures and books etc.

Hi folks,

MJ and Stu have been in this week and begun the great sort out! We now have the beginning of full genres, record labels and the good news is our online a-z section is slowly decreasing in size.

Morning folks,

Just wanted to give you a Dance Room update.

Martina MJ Jade has been in and assisted Stu, Ad and Tel with starting to get everything into genres for the big day.

You will notice that there are massive gaps which just shows how busy we've been recently but rest assured Stu and Tel have some serious tunes to go back into the shop.

We've also been interviewed by: the Kidderminster Shuttle...

Had photos taken by Kidderminster BID team and even had some nice conversations with the Beeb so fingers crossed for more good news coming soon.

Please keep your eyes peeled the next week or so for updates and remember....
