These have been 2 of my most recent reads, both fantastic in very different ways!

I was so absorbed in Hamnet, I booked tickets for the film and went on my own to watch it as I couldn't wait! I enjoyed the film as much as the book which is a rarity!

Verity was a book highly recommended by many of my work colleagues, as you would expect from Colleen Hoover, a thriller with twists and turns - I read it in just over a day!

I will add both of these books to the book lists later this week and they can be added to any book box ❤️.

Oh, and the patchwork pouch has been made by me at my sewing class, I don't like it as much as the pocket but it's helped me learn!

I've had my 'crafty' head on this week and this is my first attempt at a book pocket! It's not perfect but I'm pleased with it! What do you guys think?

I've been busy putting together a couple more boxes with Valentines in mind.

First of all, is the Bestie box, perfect for 'Galentines' to show your Bestie how much you love them 💗.

Secondly is 'Yours and Mine', a double box for two! Choose any 2 books from our wide selection!

Good morning everyone, Happy Wednesday!

The sun is shining, we are almost at the end of January and pay day is in sight if it has not already arrived! Hallelujah!

I have spent time this morning updating the adult and children's book lists (saved as pinned/featured posts at the top of the page) as I have been kindly donated some books this week by one of our followers (thank you Raye). I never knew this ♥️

Every author whose books are stocked in UK libraries receives a small payment each time a book is borrowed. January is when we receive our statements for the previous year. I’ve been lucky enough to be stocked by libraries for over ten years and in that time the amount of my books that have been borrowed has increased by over 1000%, which is just amazing. When I was a child, libraries were my happy place and my mum, who I sadly lost last month, used to take me to the library in Whitstable to get new books every week. I think she’d have been as thrilled by my latest statement as I was. So I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the brilliant library staff in the UK and everyone who has borrowed one of my books from a library, or who has chosen them in any other format. You’ve made this little library-loving girl’s dreams come true and I still can’t believe this is my job ❤️❤️❤️

First of all, I want to apologise for being rather absent for the first few weeks of January. Due to the horrible winter germs and bugs that have been around, I offered to work some extra shifts in my NHS role to cover sickness. I spent last week resting after this busy time but am finally ready to update our book box page!

We continue to hunt down excellent quality pre-loved books to include in our boxes, as well as looking for gorgeous mugs and tasty sweet treats to include too.

We are hoping that the year ahead will see our little business continue to thrive and grow and are so glad all our followers are here with us too to enjoy this adventure.
