The rest of the garden is starting to produce flowers... including the deep red peonies 🌺🌺🌺

After a short gallivant to Malvern Flower Show 🌸 it's time for the young plants to be released from the greenhouse into the flower beds.
I'd let the beds completely rest from last year.. so plenty of edging, replenishing with some farm manure and fresh compost...
The first arrivals are the sweet peas. Young snapdragons are planted alongside. 🌱🌸🌱🌺🌱
Fingers crossed no unexpected frosts πŸ™πŸ»

Wonderful few days in the Cotswolds with my friend enjoying all the sights of a country flower show. Plenty of space to amble, so much to see and some new ideas to take with me. πŸ€©πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸŒΈ
I reckon their flowers are a fortnight ahead of ours.

Had a lovely treat on Sunday watching Monty Don of BBC Gardeners World present his tour of British Gardens.
Another Spring Posy to bring a little cheer to someone. πŸ’πŸŒ·πŸͺ»πŸŒΈ
Less daffodils after the dry weather however the Bluebells have arrived and there is a little bit of vibrant purple honesty flower too!
Back working in the garden accompanied by my four legged friends β˜ΊοΈπŸ„πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎ

One of my lovely customers asked for a Spring Bouquet for her friend who is 98 year's old today!

She is slightly blind so we needed lots of bright and vibrant colours... the daffodils and tulips didn't let me down. Added in a few sprigs of catkins and h**e for texture.

Wishing her the happiest of birthdays, what an achievement! πŸŽ‰πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸŒ·

Ranunculus - Spring Beauties! 🌺🌸🌼
Stage 2

We all love these but can be quite tricky to grow.
In Scotland it's best to lift the small corms, (due to the wet winters), dry, store in a paper bag then waken them up again indoors around Feb/March.....

Yesterday I planted the first batch out to get established... will cover with cloches if a hard frost is forecast... And please no four legged visitors πŸπŸ˜†

They really only like cool temperatures so it's a fine balancing act to bring them on before the summer sun appears!
Fingers crossed πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ€žπŸ»

In the depths of winter I found these old tulip bulbs in a cupboard starting to sprout....
I had my wheel barrow full of soil to repot my house plants in the garage....
So I planted the tulips and hoped for the best....
to my delight they have started to flower πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸŒ·πŸŒ·πŸ™ŒπŸΌ
