I am extremely disappointed to say this...
I have been really let down.
My plan is in tatters!
I currently have over 10,000 items in stock. On average, around 15 items sell each week, and over the course of a month I bring in around 30 more items.
Which means, at this rate, for me to fully sell out would take... 24 YEARS.
Yes. Twenty four years.
Your children will be adults. You youngsters will be old. And you oldies... well, your antiques might end up back in here for rehoming. Don’t worry, I’ll look after them.
This is your fault, not mine.
Even if I stopped bringing in new stock altogether, it would still take around 12 years to clear everything out. Twelve years. Brutal.
I’ve said before that I plan to retire in 10 years. I genuinely feel like yous have all ganged up on me as part of a long-term plan to keep me open forever.
Yous need to up your game. Focus on the antiquing. Don’t quit — yous aren’t quitters, we can do this together.
And if you’ve strayed and ended up in IK*A buying flat-pack furniture... I forgive you. You can come back.
So, because I’m clearly far too decent and forgiving, I’m opening an extra day this week to help speed up my retirement plans.
