Good morning all Drivers beginners, club and expert,
Well it’s been a long while since my last post…
Racing has been going well at West Winch with some challenging track layouts. The racing is closer than ever and more drivers getting back in to the swing of it..
Monday nights racing as most of you know start at around 7.15pm with doors open from 6.30pm
We aim to do four rounds of qualifying and one leg finals for all this is usually dependant on round three ending at about 9pm to give us time to do the last round and finals plus packing away and not being too late getting home as we all have work in the morning..
Great, always to see new faces..
4wd is growing in numbers and the racing is always close
2wd has seen a down turn however sure as the cold evenings hit more will be coming back to the racing scene.
Stadium trucks also have grown in previous weeks and so this means running a separate heat which is always great to watch plus they are nearly as fast as the 2wd buggies
The track is now fresh carpet with no holes and slightly more grip than previous, markers are still hose and down pipe this works great.
At present new jumps and ramps are being made and this will bring an exciting new perspective to the layouts.
If you have a car in your loft, garage and feel like giving it a go come down and see us and join in the fun
We look forward to seeing you tonight for another nights great racing..
Until then Race on Race well

Good morning recovering Racers, Monday night was epic.
The track was laid and the drivers thought think we shall need a sat nav to get round this but could be fun.. The first heats found there was a race line but it was all about being smooth and controlled rather than force that throttle out of the transmitter.. 2wd and it was all about making sure you had pace in the flowing parts but full control on the technical sections. Jumps bunny hops and some slopped mesh to contend with really tested the drivers at ALL levels. Some of the drivers have set themselves a target of making mini spikes in yellow to last three weeks have to say looking at some nearly bald already with one week to go so that’s going to be interesting next week.
4wd and Trucks really found they had all the control needed to get round and even the trucks at the end of the night had overtaken some of the lap times in 2wd (think some of this was less vehicles on the track)
David was back on form in 4wd and was able to pole the final. 2wd and it was yet again always going to be a four way battle.
Points so far and there is a point gap on each driver between the top five racers, a gap then again it’s all change every week this is great to see and that we are getting some really close qualifying and finals.
Next week we shall see a more flowing track however that does not mean it will be easier as speed increases, the cars become less stable so it’s all about control!
I forward to seeing you all again this Monday for another nights great racing..
Until next time Race on Race well

Good morning Racers, we hope you have all been enjoying getting back on the track for 2022.
We have had some fantastic weeks racing and each week the qualifying gets closer and closer.
New drivers are starting with the highest number this last Monday when four started their new hobby. We welcome Lee, John, Alfie and Braydon. By the end of qualifying their improvements were noticeable.
2wd in the last few weeks the battle through all the heats has been full on with Ronnie pushing hard to get his best time, Ben has shown great driving skills making some great moves and climbing the end of round places. Stephen, Paul and Kirk Peter have had some great qualifiers never giving up at all which is great to see. Tom Ben and Jenson and Richard all taking a top position in each round, great to see Jenson back on it and showing that he could easily be the top man very smooth and consistent on the track.
David, John and Richard in 4wd have again had some fabulous battles Richard with his all new 4wd Losi. Nice to see some trucks giving the 4wd’s something to think about. Positions for the first time are starting to change with Richard taking pole on the grid for the final David I am sure will be pushing hard in the coming weeks.
The overall positions in the series for January, February and March could not be closer in 2wd and 4wd with everything to play for in the coming weeks.
The rules on mask wearing have been changed by the government, however I feel that we shall carry on wearing masks and gloves this gives great protection to the drivers and Marshalls. Eating drinking must be done outside of the hall. If you feel ill or just under the weather please stay away this way we can keep the racing going.
We look forward to seeing you all again this Monday for another nights great racing..
Until next time Race on Race well

Morning to you all, what a fantastic first night back racing for 2022, Track was laid, flowing and fast with some interesting jumps bumps and the awful bunny hops, booking in was complete and heats made, first round and for the first time for a while we had a full heat of 4wd this was going to make an interesting evening in itself, ( we are cheating a little the trucks are in the same heat but they are quick!!) David did not take too long to be back on form and showing the rest how it was done mind you feel others still very rusty and wont be long before there banging on the spot ..
2wd and the racing was always going to be fast and furious, qualifying was great with new TQ (top Qualifier best time) being set each round by different drivers, Points not being made this week as felt we needed to enjoy the moment back on the track, next week we are going to mix it up a little with 6 minute races with 3 rounds and one leg finals should be interesting plus give all the lipos a wake up call.. Look forward to seeing you all again there same time same place.. Until then keep safe and prep those cars ready,
Race on race well race hard

Good afternoon, well its been 5 weeks and last night was the best to date racing was fast and furious with such close racing it was fantastic.. Paul Grainger was on a flyer with Tom chasing down on his heels.. Richard and Paul in 4wd was a pleasure to watch and quite comical at times.. 2wd and 18 laps was the order of the day. Jenson was on true form in the first round almost TQ, missing out by less than 4 seconds.. Paul and tom with Richard battled in round two, this time Kirk and Stephen reed were banging on the doors..
Ben Vasey has shown great driving the last few weeks and it wont be long before he is wanting to see that A final place (his dad is on it too but Bens the Vasey to watch) Paul Garrod had a good night and showed he also was back on form within the last five weeks..
Damien was also showing his dads old RB6 was still in contention to be a formidable car to watch. Ainslie unfortunately had to retire however sure he will be back stronger next week once he has sorted the cars issues.. Its all about enjoying the racing..
Thank you to all those who help setup and pack away its only with this help we can do four qualifying round and finals..
Mask wearing even though not great is proving its worth and this we shall keep up to at least the end of the year as this shows prevention is better than taking the risk...
Until next week get those cars set for another great Monday nights racing....

Good morning well another great evening on the race track in the West winch village hall ., A fair turnout and track was little more technical than last week however was soon established as being a 18 lapper . It was going to be possible in 4wd and only seconds short in 2wd..
Great to see a new face welcome Gary who made the trip from Stretham. Racing a Schumacher 2wd we look forward to seeing you again soon. A few drivers unfortunately were not able to make it due to colds or just not feeling as they should we thank you for being sensible at this tricky time.
Trucks also made there first showing Paul running a Mad Van and going amazingly well, Ben racing the T6 and Adam Racing a T5.
4wd David and Richard had a great battle all evening and Richard this time was a lot closer in the Qualifying.
2wd Ben was the lead car in qualifying however Adam did sneak one TQ in round three. Tom was also on the war path. Stephen Peter Stephen Gary Ben and Ronnie all had some great runs. Ben had a amazing final and just missed out on getting 2nd in the B final. The A final was rather messy as think some of the top guys forget how the layout went but was all great fun and looking forward to getting back next Monday for another go.
Huge thanks again to all for using masks and gloves while marshalling and packing away its all about staying safe and being able to carry on the regular meets..The points for the series are coming on well and after next weeks will give the positions so far
Until next time Race on Race well

Good Morning racers,
Well the waiting was finally over on Monday evening and the race meet we had all longed for took place..
It had been a long 19 months but we got there and what a meet it was, Thank you to all who played by the rules I felt it all went well and hopefully you all enjoyed and cannot wait till Monday when we do it all again…
Drivers arrived New and old great to see so many missed faces ,Drivers found new comfy chairs to seat upon..
The carpet a little lumpy soon looked more like a track rather than the ripple city…
No practice so all booked in and heats up first heat on the line and we were off..
The computer behaved, once I had remembered where all the leads went , even remembered how to lay a reasonable track too....,
The qualifying in the first round was always going to be interesting as loads of rusty thumbs and fingers but was not long before the drivers got back to their true talents..
2 heats of 2wd and one of 4wd. No trucks this week..
We got through the first few rounds quite quickly so ran an extra round
Finals came and it was all go from the grid Ben in 2wd had a good start and pulled away to win the A , Stephen had a similar B final as Paul unfortunately had broken so was not able to compete.., 4wd and David had TQ however it was Richard who would lead the start of the final, David pulled it back and took the win..
It all starts again Monday at 7.25pm Same rules will apply
Thank you again to you all and we look forward to racing Monday.. Until next time
