Dispite the struggles this year one BIG possitve I shall take from 2020 will be "Extra time"
No rushing about here and there with kids activities, no school, work or cottage to keep us all busy. 2020 provided me with plenty of time on my hands to do all the little things, normally, I only wish I had time to do!
Through the highs and lows my saviour this year was my garden and crafting. During the pandemic we made pairs of hearts and scrubs bags, together, cleared our unwanted items to donate and I turned into the crazy seed collecting lady! I now have hundreds of free seeds to plant and scatter next year. We grew tonnes of veg at home and even took on my father-in-laws allotment that as a family we worked on this summer. I made a cardboard tank for my son and we re-decorated my daughters room, we did it all together. We've made Christmas tags stamped by us, made many gifts for friends and family with help from the kids, made sloe gin, pick sloes together, made wreaths and discovered a crazy love for hama beads!
This year especially this festive season I shopped local as much as possible to support the little business like me. There are so many sellers making beautiful gifts and small business selling gorgeous items but having the time to look makes all the difference.
I bought local jams, honey, candles, plants, jewellery, masks and much more! We've had local deliveries from fish, beer & hogroasts to sausage rolls!
These are the things I've loved and enjoyed. 2020 has given me time to look at things and access what is important to me and what is not...
Next year I will be making more time for the things that make me happier.
A big thank you for supporting a small business like me... Wishing you all a very
Merry Christmas and best wishes for the new year and better times 💙
