At this weekend’s Stereonet Show, MOON’s 491 network player/preamplifier was a streaming sensation. It delivered the tunes in perfect detail through a pair of MOON 461 power amplifiers, with Audiovector’s new R 5 Arreté loudspeakers filling the room with toe-tapping sound.

We’re most used to seeing MOON products in a two-tone finish (black and silver), but we’re also big fans of the discreet all-black finish, as seen here.

At the weekend, the StereoNET show was held at Heathrow, and our PR man Matt was there to check it out.

Rega's Planar 8 is a customer favourite. If you've not heard one before, come and have a listen. Here's what Rega has so say about its superb turntable:

"Every aspect of the Planar 8 is engineered to extract as much detail from the vinyl surface as possible. We have used the most advanced materials and engineering solutions built around a supremely lightweight plinth to ensure the greatest level of performance. The Planar 8 is supplied with the new RB880 tonearm and Neo PSU as standard which offers electronic speed change, advanced anti-vibration control and user adjustable electronic fine speed adjustment to ensure total accuracy and control over the motor. Today, in our Leeds shop, we've got a little bit of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons spinning on a system comprising a Rega P8 turntable, a Rega AOS MC phono stage and a pair of Dynaudio Evoke loudspeakers, driven by a Naim Uniti Star Lite. In this setup, we're using Tellurium Black speaker cable.

As you can imagine, it sounds WAY better in real life.
