A gorgeous little project I made for a nursery, requested for a shoot by The Wild Child Photographer🥹💕

I made this little sign for their end of year graduation photos and I absolutely loved doing something a bit different.

And just look at these gorgeous photos by Hollie 😭📸

I’d honestly love to do more little projects like this for nurseries, schools or businesses… making props and bits for special occasions.

Last week I was in the middle of a really bad flare up.

Everything hurt. I was exhausted, my brain was foggy, and the sensible thing would’ve been to rest.

On Friday, I disappeared into my studio. Not to push through or prove anything, but because creating is where my mind finally goes quiet and time makes more sense. Sewing has always been my happy place, and sometimes making something, anything, is what helps me feel a bit more put together again.

I altered clothes I’d stopped wearing, turned a dress into a skirt that I'd reach for this summer, made one scrunchie that somehow became eight, and remade one of my favourite tops.

Nothing went to waste either, every offcut already has another purpose.

Sometimes, I just need to get through the day and it helps doing something that fills my cup ❤️

Reclaimed Scottish kilt fabric 🖤
And no two bags ever came out the same.

Different tartan placement.
Different zip.
Different lining.

They were never meant to look factory they were meant to look alive.
Full of soul.
Full of energy.

Truly sad Halloween is over. I meant to share the kids’ costumes (Scorpion from Mortal Kombat and Ghost Spider Gwen 🕸️) but somehow the only photos I got were… of me. 😂🖤

Another mum on the trick or treat walk said, 'I’m so glad there’s another parent dressed up,' and I unapologetically replied, 'Oh no, these are my actual clothes.' 😅
Never felt more like myself, and honestly, we all know this makeup suits me, witchezzz 🖤🕯️

Anyway, since the magic’s still strong, I’ve got some new ideas brewing.
