We’re really excited to welcome Wildsole to the Barefoot Shoe Box 👣

Wildsole is a small independent team of four: Tom, Faye, James and Naomi, with a shared love of natural movement and the outdoors. Their sandals are handmade in Yorkshire, with Tom making every pair by hand.

Simple by design, Wildsoles are thin, flexible and zero-drop, with adjustable straps that keep the foot secure while giving your feet plenty of freedom to move.

Ali recently travelled up to Yorkshire to meet the team and see how the sandals are made, and of course, she had to put them to the test too! The opening video shows Ali running up Kinder Scout in her Wildsoles.

🎉 Well... that was something!

We honestly didn't know what to expect when we opened the doors of No. 26 for our very first Market Day Clearance Sale.

By 10am people were already browsing outside, the little shop was packed, and throughout the day we watched outdoor gear, barefoot shoes and walking kit disappear through the door.

Some incredible bargains were snapped up too, with discounts of up to 50% off already reduced prices on selected footwear, clothing and equipment. Tbh, some items sold for less than we originally paid for them 😱!

A huge thank you to the organisers of the Market and to everyone who came along and made it such a brilliant day. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces, meet new customers and be part of the amazing atmosphere created by Kington's High Street Market.

Judging by your comments, this definitely shouldn't be a one-off...

We'll be putting more treasures aside over the coming months ready for the next Big Clear Out, so if you missed this one, keep an eye on our page. You never know what bargains might be uncovered next time! 😉

What a weekend 💚

We hosted our Bahe event at The Barefoot Shoe Box… and honestly, it was something special.

The shop was full of people trying barefoot shoes for the first time, comparing modes, asking questions, and having those little “oh wow…” moments when something just clicks.

We were also lucky to have Charlie presenting informative, down-to-earth talks throughout the weekend — breaking down barefoot, movement, and grounding in a way that just made sense. You could see people connecting the dots as he spoke.

The plasma grounding panel turned out to be a real highlight — such a simple but powerful visual. You could literally see the difference between being connected… and being insulated. It sparked so many great conversations about how our feet are actually meant to interact with the ground.

We also had some brilliant stories…

🐾 Hugo completely stole the show — that extraordinary nose and cheeky overbite had everyone smiling (and yes… he knows it).

🧦 Jessica, who travelled all the way from Devon just for the day, won our “furthest travelled” prize — a pair of grounding socks. She was so moved by the concept of reconnecting with the earth through footwear… one of those moments that really reminds you why this matters. Her words: she’d travel far and wide for shoes that bring us back to that connection 🌍

And that was the feeling all weekend really — curiosity, openness, and people beginning to understand that shoes can be more than just something you put on your feet.

Thank you to everyone who came, tried things on, asked questions, shared stories… and made it what it was.
