I was lucky enough to enjoy another beautiful dog walk in Kinross-shire this evening.

This time I was listening to the captivating 'Yesteryear' by Caro Claire Burke.

I was out walking my dog this evening and I was fortunate enough to be amongst this stunning scenery.

I often get asked 'why did you open a bookshop?' and when I'm working in Read and Relax, I often get asked by tourists about things to do in the local area.

The answers, for me, are simple. I love books and I know what a positive impact reading can have on a person's life. Kinross-shire has so much to offer: beautiful nature, castles, sports and a thriving high street to name just a few.

I'm so happy that I have been able to open a bookshop here in such a beautiful place. Our books are carefully curated to meet the tastes of our customers. Whether it's a history or nature book you are looking for, or perhaps the latest release fiction book, pop into Read and Relax and see what we have to offer.

Dogs are very welcome at Read and Relax and there are treats behind the counter.

My previous job was a dog walker so I love it when dogs come for a visit.

It's Amber's birthday today 🎉📚🐾 She was less interested in the book I put next to her but was very happy with her new teddy ❤️

A quick trip to Paris and a chance to visit a bookshop I have long wanted to visit! It did not disappoint 😊.

I had to restrict myself to just two books in my bag so these two were the winners ❤️

For those of you who love writing; Kinross Writer's Group is hosting a workshop!

Author Tendai Huchu will deliver a workshop on 'Mastering Point of View' in Cleish Village Hall on Saturday 28th March.

This will be a 2-hour workshop on how Point of View affects all other aspects of storytelling, with additional time for questions on Tendai’s writing and publishing career.

The event will take place in Cleish Village Hall from 12pm till 5pm, so there is time to stay on and write afterwards for those who would like to.

The cost of the workshop, including Tendai reading extracts of up to 5,000 words, is £35.

Two very lovely things have happened today so I thought I would share them with you!

Firstly, the sun is shining and so the door to Read and Relax is fully open! ☀️ I do love this time of year with lots of fresh air ❤️

Secondly, a very lovely customer brought me a gift which has made me smile 😊
