To the garden centre! Luckily the roof comes down. Never ceases to amaze me just how much you can squeeze in. ( luckily). We’re hoping to do ‘Downham Hall Open Gardens’ on Sunday, so I needed some hydrangeas ( didn’t realise I needed the rest 😉). I’m sure you find yourself doing the same ???

Aside from Gardening, this is what we do on a day off! Extra special as this is the first tipple for 6 months for me ( not him) thanks to excessive amounts of pain killers for slipped discs & nerve damage. The trials of an independent shop owner! I’m sure many people out there have suffered the same. I’ve never had anything like it!!

All things Bloomsbury! Bit of an obsession with Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant , Roger Fry, Vita Sackville- West et al. Also Lee Miller ex Vogue model who lived in the same village as me down in East Sussex. Gathered & Garner is based betwixt & between Lancs, Lakes , Yorks have Bloomsbury will travel! Excellent brand new book on Roger Fry by lovely hand painted mugs, jugs & mini vases by the perennial favourite patterns books on gardens and art & Happy reading and tea supping!

New window for the Summer. The lovely Sophie helping out looking gorgeous as ever! Quite honestly I don’t know how I would have got through the last 4 months without Charlotte, Sophie & my partner Marsten helping. Customers now colleagues, thrown in at the deep end when I slipped 2 discs causing femoral nerve damage. I’m not out of the woods yet but from a flat on my back position, launched the new website come what may!! Can’t do as much bending & twisting & only working in the bricks & mortar shop 2 days a week but I’ll get there!!! The joys of being a small business owner- who knew 🤷‍♀️ The show must go on. I plan everything from home. Limp in to do windows, sometimes lying on the shop floor when I just can’t go on. They sent me videos of the shop & then I suggest where things should go but please god we are over the worst. Marsten constantly ferries products from warehouse to the shop & is responsible for all the parcels we send out across the country. 🙏🙏🙏https://www.gatheredandgarner.com/
