Another fun evening at Orkney Glass Hut last night. Check out a change of dates starting October when I’ll have workshops on Sunday afternoon instead of Wednesday evening (for now). Spaces are filling fast! 😯😯😯
I’ll have Christmas templates for ideas along with any other inspiration you bring with you.

My October, November and December dates are now on the Orkney Glass Hut booking calendar. They’re filling up fast and I haven’t yet started the Christmas season! 🎄🎄☃️🎄☃️🎄☃️
I’ll be putting together some nice Seasonal ideas to inspire you. Baubles, tree hangers, Christmas scenes, just let your imagination flow!

Tomorrow starts the first day of Barony Mill art exhibition. Setting up today I saw some wonderful art pieces, jewellery, pottery, wood turning, fabric design and weaving. I feel so proud to be part of this event!
I’ve been working with the brief of, ‘Old Grain, New Eyes’ and I hope my fused glass ideas capture the ambience of Barony Mill and Bere Barley.
Each piece is unique and innovative. The structure of the glass barley is all hand made, right through to the barley awns, beads and millefiori. The cast glass piece was created from Bere Barley on a wood base and then cast in the kiln producing a beautiful detailed representation.
‘The Sunset’ depicts a view of the Mill in glass over harvest time using a mixed media of fused glass. I hope you enjoy them!

I’m looking forward to exhibit some of my new fused glass art work at Barony Mill. I’ve been working with the brief of, ‘Old Grain, New Eyes’ and I hope my fused glass ideas capture the ambience of Barony Mill and Bere Barley.

There’s been lots of glass fusing these last two weeks of the holidays. Fantastic art work from adults and children, well done 👏👏👏👏👏
It’s been quite a challenge to fire everything. We had a power cut fractured my main art piece for the Barony Mill Exhibition starting this week. So there’s been a few cry moments too!
Let’s see what the morning brings when I open the kiln after salvaging the piece!

It’s holiday time and we have many youngsters visiting to create fused glass art. We’ve had a jolly day with Inclusive Orkney. Lots of chat, glass and feeding the chickens afterwards.🐔🐔🐔🐔🪿🪿🦆🦆
It’s been so warm and it was good to get the children out and about after working so hard! Well done all of you! 👏👏👏👏
