Are you a Beatles fan ? This is a copy of John Lennon's original handwritten working draft for The Beatles' song *"A Day in the Life"*.

It's the last track on _Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band_ (1967) - credited to Lennon-McCartney but largely written by Lennon.

What you're looking at:
- *Top sheet:* Lennon's handwriting in ink on a single sheet of paper, with crossings-out and rewrites where he was working out the wording as he went. You can see him changing a line about the crowd and revising the ending about the Albert Hall.
- *Bottom:* A black-and-white press photo of Lennon from the same era, mounted below it in the same frame.
The original sheet is one of the most famous pieces of Beatles memorabilia. The handwritten lyric sheet sold at auction at Sotheby's in New York in 2010 for $1.2M, and this is the image that is widely reproduced - you'll see it in museums, books, and exhibits about the Beatles and the making of Sgt. Pepper. It has the print Number on the plaque at the bottom
