When James Kirkness opened his shop opposite St Magnus Cathedral in 1859, it was as a wine merchant and licensed grocer. Still owned and run by his descendants, and still in the original premises, we may well be Scotland’s oldest-established wine dealer still in family ownership.

A few of the new cheeses in our cheese fridge today 🤩

🧀Montsalvy brie is a pasteurised, soft cows milk brie, with a slightly sweet, creamy flavour.

🧀Gouda with Cumin is an old favourite, here. We love its smooth, creamy cheese, with a hit of warm spice.

🧀And of course Burnside Cheese is a staple in our fridge. From the crumbly farmhouse cheese, to the Alpine inspired Norseman and the cloth hung Cannonball, there is something for everyone!
