I think this is a lovely peedie story ..

I inherited a lovely painting of the Brough of Birsay from my Granny & Da. It used to hang in their sitting room above the fireplace and I always admired it.

Last month it inspired me to create a stitched piece of textile art using Harris Tweed which I titled ‘The Brough from the Knowe o’ Saverough’

This in turn inspired my clever brother in law to design and create a beautiful bespoke silver and enamel pendant for my sister to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary. 🤍🩶
