Well now, darlin’, I have to tell you, I was downright fascinated to learn about the Scottish brownie. No, not the chocolate kind! A wee house spirit who tended the hearth by night and asked for nothing but to be left in peace. So naturally, I told MJ she simply had to make a video about it.

That’s how The Brownie Oak got her name: white oak, cut from a single old Clyde Valley tree, and now part of our Pelican Provenance Collection. There’s more to her story too, tucked right into her Record of Provenance.

Unfortunately, The Posh Wee Pelican will be closed today.

With Angie away at the market, Kate on holiday, and me recovering from a planned procedure yesterday, we just don’t have enough hands to keep the shop open today.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience, especially if you were planning to pop in. We really appreciate your patience and understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you back on Monday, when we’ll be doing our live prize draw at noon!
