Beechwood Garden Centre and Coffee Shop Small garden centre and fully stocked gift shop. Green Bean coffee shop open 7 days a week Hi we are a small garden centre based in the Mearns.

We have a good selection of Plants in our outside area as well as a variety of garden ornaments and tools in our shop. We also stock the Alko range of petrol lawn mowers and various other mechanical tools like Brush Cutters, Leaf Blowers and Hedge Trimmers. We can supply Aggregates in Bulk bags. Our Green Bean coffee shop is now open serving homemade soup of the day hot and cold filled rolls\sandwiches along with a large selection of cakes. Opening hours:-

The cooler weather means weeds are slowing down, while the soil is still warm and usually has plenty of moisture — perfect conditions to help grass seed germinate and get established. 🌱

So if your lawn is looking a little patchy after summer, now’s a great time to give those bare bits a little TLC!

Ever wondered why leaves change colour in autumn? 🔎

As the days get shorter and temperatures drop, trees stop producing as much chlorophyll – the pigment that makes leaves green. As the green fades, the yellows and oranges that were hiding underneath finally get their chance to shine! 🍁

Some trees also produce red and purple pigments, giving us those gorgeous autumn displays.

So the trees aren’t turning yellow and orange… those colours were there all along! 🤯🍂

A wee nip in the air calls for something warm and comforting 🍂

Today at Beechwood we’ve got Tattie & Leek or Pea & Ham soup, followed by chicken with cream cheese, wrapped in bacon, with tatties & veg.

And for something sweet? Strawberry tarts or sticky toffee cheesecake. Decisions, decisions… 🍓😋

So we’ve got proper comfort food on the menu today — warming homemade soup, mince & tatties with peas and mealie, and one of our gorgeous strawberry tarts for something sweet. 🍓
