SORRY FOLKS! Climate Change wins.

We would have liked to re-open, but as the Photo taken a few days ago shows, everyone would be up to their knees in water and we'd spend the entire day pulling vehicles out of the mud!!

Running a Boot is more expensive than people realise and if we can't hold a minimum number in a Season, we can't cover our overhead for the year.

In the prsent climate, Boots on fields are just not viable - well, for us anyway.

So that's it. The weather has won. Maybe next year - IF it ever stops raining!

SUNDAY 27th August - Cancelled AGAIN!!

This weather is quite unbelievable - rain predicted ALL morning, as if today's was not enough!

There's simply no point in opening with weather like this - so few people will show up.

Actually we have made a decision that that's it. We have to cede the field to the Aero Modellers on 3rd Sept as the CAA has changed the Rules and they need more space. Thanks, CAA.

We would be closing at the end of Sept as last year, the numbers attending tailed off when we got to October.

So, that's it for 2023. Hopefully see you in 2024 and we have a big local advertising campaign prepared. We printed loads of stuff for this year, but never got a chance to use it because the weather would not allow.

So, fingers crossed for Spring 2024..............

SORRY FOLKS.

A lovely day tomorrow, but the amount of rain we had yesterday is taking too long to drain and we'd have mud up to your axles.

This year is turning into a total write-off, sadly.

Next week the Model Aero Fair will be using our field as the new CAA Regulations mean their Campers cannot be near the display, sorry

This weather is almost Biblical!

So much rain today [Saturday], the field will never drain in time and yet again more rain forecast for 11 a.m. Sunday - it will just put off so many people!

Hopefully, it will eventually stop raining sometime.

What an awful year!

SORRY AGAIN, Folks.

This pattern of rain by mid-morning on a Sunday is incredible.

Sorry, Like the last 3 weeks, rain is forecast by 9 a.m. and then heavy by 12 p.m., so it will put a lot of people off and the cost of opening is huge, so we just can't risk losing so much money.

Sorry.

We will open a soon as the weather allows.

Ross at HR9 7QQ [6 miles] will be open from 6 a.m., and it's on hard standing, so there's a good chance of 3 or 4 hours trading before the rain.

MUCH MARCLE BOOT - SUNDAY 23rd July

SORRY AGAIN FOLKS, but the forecast rain throughout our Trading hours has just put too many people off. Rain, Fields and People and not a happy mix!

Almost zero enquiries, so we cannot afford to open it's just not viable, sorry.

Hopefully better weather next Sunday!

SORRY FOLKS!!

In view of the amount of rain the field has had this week and the miserable forecast for tomorrow, we have again decided against opening.

Hopefully, this blessed rain will stop sometime and we can enjoy our Sunday Jollies on our pretty field again soon!

Since the early hours are scheduled to be dry and Ross is on hard-standing, the Ross Car Boot will be open from 6 a.m. and hopefully we'll get a few hours trading before the rain at 10 a.m.
