Saying goodbye!!
It’s with huge sadness that is saying goodbye and will close its door this weekend for the last time.
It’s no secret that retail is challenging right now and as much as you continue to support us the escalating costs and pressures of running a small business have taken their toll. The lease is expiring on our 3 year deal and I’ve decided not to renew.
is proud of its 3 years nestled between the hi-fi shop (thank you Andrew and Karl) and the phone shop run by (crazy but lovely) Faz that turned into the amazing Turkish Diamond Scissors. We made friends for life, sold you pots of plant joy, cups of coffee and even bacon sandwiches (I see you Lloyd!). We have watched our plants grow along with our customers (thank you Richard for sharing your beautiful family with us).
On a winter day when it seemed nobody was around wandered in and our botanical chair pop-up was born. We loved having them and you loved buying them. Thank you.
We did Christmas Fairs and charity events, I even went out of my comfort zone and did a few wreath work shops. We might be back at Christmas in a pop up of our own and do some more.🤷♀️
During the various lockdowns, we chatted, at a distance , we set a time, made cakes and cookies until the man from the council said we couldn’t. No worries, we carried on. I’ve reported more Monsteras than I care to remember but you love them and they sell out every time.
Pop in and say goodbye.
From the bottom of my heart thank you to all our customers and to name check a few regulars - Kathy, Harriet, Ray (who can forget Ray), Tom and Co@hivehairleeds, and the gang there, and George .
I know it’s short notice - I’ve been in denial because it’s sad.
