My Mum's autistic like me and she likes to fidget, but she's fussy! She had a conker that she carried in her pocket but she fidgeted so much she wore it through. I'd just started making things from polymer clay and she asked me to make her a pretty conker substitute, so I did. I made quite a lot in fact, trying to get the feel just right. One day I looked at the conker and thought it looked a bit
like a turtle, so I added some legs and a head. And so the (Fidget) Turtles were born. Making the turtles really helps me to relax. The only trouble is we've got quite a lot, so Mum suggested I try to sell some. A lot of the turtles are modelled using the colours of the various Pride flags and they still have the little dimple on their belly for rubbing. It also makes them very stackable if you have more than one! And we found out pretty quickly that if you flip them over, you can make them spin for ages! I've made lots of different colour combinations, but if there's anything you'd like that isn't there then get in touch. I'm happy to make custom orders.
