Of Warm Earth and Chirping Gardens

Woven on a semi-Tussar silk base, this saree settles into a rich, unhurried brick red — the kind of warm, earthy tone that glows rather than glares. The body is laid in muted, cool-toned checks, scattered with delicate floral buttis that catch the eye only as you move.

It is at the borders that the saree begins to speak. Exquisite embroidery runs the length of the fall — floral vines in soft bursts of colour, with little birds nestled among the blooms, mid-song. The restraint of the body and the abundance of the border meet in beautiful contrast, a quiet fusion of the traditional and the contemporary.

And then, the pallu: a striking circular motif in embroidery, gathering the whole composition into a single, deliberate flourish — the finishing note of an ensemble made to be remembered.

🇮🇳 Six yards.. 🚀

When India sent Mangalyaan to the red planet, the women of ISRO ran mission control draped in silk. Not jumpsuits — sarees.

Nandini Harinath, Deputy Operations Director, wore a red-and-blue silk saree on the most critical day of the mission — the day the spacecraft slipped Earth’s orbit and began its 300-day journey to Mars. A saree gifted by her father, worn for the biggest day of her career.

That very saree now sits in the Smithsonian’s National Air & Space Museum in Washington — six yards of heritage, resting beside the giants of space history.

Six yards of heritage, carried into space history. This is what the drape means to us.🙏🏻

Om Mangalam, Mission Mangalam… dil mein Mars hai 🚀

🧐DID YOU KNOW?

Some sarees carry a colour. The Dolabedi carries a procession.

💡 Dola means swing; bedi means platform. The Dolabedi is the dome-topped pavilion in the Jagannath Temple precinct where Dolagovinda, Shreedevi and Bhudevi are placed during the Dola Yatra — Odisha’s beloved spring swing festival at the Phalguna full moon (Feb–March), coinciding with Holi. The deities are seated in a wooden palanquin, a portable dome-topped temple, then swung and carried in joyful procession. The saree is named for that sacred platform, and each one is a hand-woven echo of the day the gods step out for a stroll.

💎 The signature triangle-and-dome motifs rising along the pallu are the dolabedi swing pavilions and palanquins of the festival, rendered thread by patient thread in extra weft — a slow, painstaking technique built on jala and dobby loom work, where the design is first plotted on paper, then translated onto the loom one lifted thread at a time. It is among the most time-consuming weaves in Odisha.

🛕The colour-soaked aanchal is a tiny living world: palanquins for the procession, turtles and parrots gathered to watch, and fish — long held as a sign of success and abundance — swimming through the borders. Against this, the body stays calm and regal, scattered with multicoloured butas. Vibrant pallu, quiet body: that contrast is the Dolabedi’s signature.
Every motif carries Lord Jagannath’s blessing. A hand-woven festival you can wear — a procession that never ends.

🌺 Seasoned in Legend. Draped in Devotion 🙏🏻

Mocha brown, but make it featherlight.🤎

There’s a particular kind of brown that doesn’t fade into the background — it warms a room. This Manipur Silk Kota saree arrives in a mocha so rich and edible it seems to hold candlelight in its folds, the brown of roasted coffee, of cocoa, of late-autumn afternoons. The shade everyone’s talking about this season — and here it is, woven the way we love it.

Across the body, leaf motifs drift in soft procession, woven into the airy Kota grid in alternating muted silver and gold — a quiet rhythm of light that shifts as you move, never shouting, always glowing. The borders settle into plain satin, smooth and unbroken, framed by a fine gold selvedge that holds the whole thing together like a held breath.

And then the pallu. The grand finale. A bold geometric weave unfurls in shimmering gold against the deep mocha, intricate and architectural — the kind of detail that turns a doorway into an entrance.

For the days you want to be seen and still feel like air. For celebration without weight. For when grandeur should rest lightly on the shoulders.

Drape it, and let the room catch up.

Have you noticed? Brown is having its moment. 🤎

That deep, edible chocolate — espresso at the hem, warming to a glow of gold. It’s everywhere this season, and for good reason. Earthy mocha browns are among the shades making waves in fashion for 2026, sitting right alongside the terracottas, olives and warm browns being called the most sophisticated, versatile colours of the year.

There’s something quietly grown-up about it. Brown doesn’t shout. It glows. It flatters every skin tone, it loves gold, and it carries candlelight like nothing else.

And if you love a grounded, glowing palette — that’s exactly where Get Seasoned lives. Warm, wearable, nature-forward colours pulled from the natural world, made to glow rather than shout.

The talk of the town? You might just find it with us 🫣🤎

Royal blue, but make it featherlight.💙

There’s a particular kind of blue that doesn’t fade into the background — it deepens a room. This Manipur Silk Kota saree arrives in a royal blue so rich and resonant it seems to hold the hour just before dusk, the blue of evening skies and quiet certainty.

Across the body, leaf motifs drift in soft procession, woven into the airy silk Kota grid in alternating muted silver and gold — a quiet rhythm of light that shifts as you move, never shouting, always glowing. The borders settle into plain satin, smooth and unbroken, framed by a fine gold selvedge that holds the whole thing together like a held breath.
