Since 2020, the S1000RR has used wideband lambda sensors, allowing the ECU to target specific air/fuel ratios across the rev range. As part of our ECU calibration, we optimise these factory settings for improved performance and rideability.

πŸ’₯ Another serious machine through the Race HQ workshop!

This Kawasaki Ninja H2 is in with us for a clutch issue, but while it's apart we'll also be carrying out a full transmission inspection to make sure everything is in top condition.

On a supercharged H2, it's always worth checking beyond the obvious. We'll be inspecting the clutch pack, basket, hub and release mechanism, along with the gearbox, selector forks and gear dogs for any signs of wear or damage.

We'll keep you updated as we strip it down and show exactly what we find. πŸ‘€

Over the years, we've won multiple championships with our Yamaha R6 engines, and this latest build is receiving the same attention to detail that has delivered race-winning performance time and time again.

πŸ”§ Work completed so far:

βœ… New pistons
βœ… New big-end shells
βœ… New main bearing shells
βœ… New connecting rod bolts
βœ… New oil pump
βœ… New valves and valve stem oil seals
βœ… Rear engine mount modified with a new spacer welded in place

πŸ”œ Next up:
πŸ”Ή Cylinder head porting
πŸ”Ή Head skim
πŸ”Ή Valve seats to be recut next week
πŸ”Ή Thinner head gasket to increase compression ratio
πŸ”Ή Kent cams to be dialled in for optimum performance

Built for the Pre-Injection Championship, this engine is being refreshed with reliability and outright performance in mind. All machining is carried out in-house using our mira valve seat machine and Carmec head surfacer, before final setup and tuning.

Multiple championships have been won with our Yamaha R6 engines, and we're looking forward to adding to that tally.
