Some of you may know, since relocating to the UK, I have also trained to become an accomplished woodturner alongside my husband in his business Davenport's Handmade
A couple weeks ago we were headhunted for our specialist skills in assisting a renowned Wiltshire artist with a top secret project, requiring our resin skills.
Unveiled at the prestigious Salon Privé at Blenheim Palace last week and now heading to Goodwood Revival, we can finally tell the world what we’ve been working on! 🤩
In conjunction with Emelie Susie Contempory Art and Renauld Sunglasses, we are proud to reveal the pieces we’ve collaborated on were a Steve McQueen portrait and artwork of his Porsche 917k from the “Le Mans” film, unveiled alongside the rebuilt Porsche 917k from the film, and paintings signed by Steve McQueen’s grandson, Chase.
Our part was to preserve a piece of Steve McQueen’s original jacket as worn on set in the film, embedding it in the painting, as well as setting an NFC chip in each canvas for digital identity
