With Heavy Heart!!
Three words that no business wants to ever said specially after dedicating all the efforts to prosper and survive. Since that last few months you might have noticed a significan reduction of our normal lines and this is due to circumstances out of our control
Unfortunately the last couple of years have been disastrous for many businesses due to current national economy, and closure is not a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of being exhaustively fighting to stay afloat despite the adverse circumstances at a cost of our own resources and like everything there is a limit of those resources. that’s why is important to keep supporting our local independent businesses and keep our high street alive
First Covid then brexit where experiencing an immense change of trade with suppliers and new terms have made it impossible for an independent business to trade. Since then current suppliers increasing prices every two months making sales unsustainable no without passing the cost to our customers. Added to our constant fight versus Amazon who gets even better deals than smal retailers and offer cheap items sometimes even cheaper than our own suppliers.
Finally since the announcement of the mini budget last September our sales took a massive hit due to customers holding up to their pockets in order to pay their own household needs. Since then we haven’t been able to recover to a sustainable level.
whilst our landlord has been understanding with our situation, sadly our utility suppliers haven’t. Tripling the cost of sustaining any business and no financial relief.

We have enjoyed bringing happiness, products and services to all families in Horsforth, we have also proud to have been participating and being included as a part of our community, supporting schools on their charities events, bringing Santa to local families during December and donating toys to organisations for children in need, creating events for the benefit of the community that have changed Horsforth forever like the Xmas market and the Coronation event on Town Street.
OUR LAST WEEK OF OPERATION will be the first week of August, so we will carry on as normal and offering stock clearance discounts throughout the month and we would appreciate your support making the next few weeks memorable
