Summer seems a distant memory as we enter swiftly into Autumn 🍂 Here’s a quick recap of some of the things we got up to on Wetherby Market over the summer holidays! Huge thanks to all involved and a special thank you to Wetherby and District Foodbank for the picnic boxes and activities you provided throughout!

It’s brightened up this afternoon (let’s just ignore the giant rain clouds! 🌧️) and the market is in full swing 😁 we have also welcomed a new regular trader this morning, Lisa from Artisan Pet Care has joined us with her doggie delights! Here until 3pm so come on down and say hello! 👋🏻

Stuck for something to do with the kids? Pop down to Wetherby Town Hall to enjoy some arts and crafts, sand pits, FREE face painting and giant games! Here until 2pm but be quick, supplies are running low! Ice-cream van here too along with the fire engine from Wetherby Fire Station. See you soon!

Tomorrow marks the last week of the summer holidays and our last week of the 6 weeks of summer - BEACH WEEK! 🏖️ The forecast doesn't look very sunny but that won't stop us bring you another great week of activities and treats. The beach has been moved into the School Room in the Town Hall so gather up the kids, come down and enjoy some beach themed crafts, playing in the sand pits, get your face painted and treat yourselves to a yummy ice-cream. Picnics are encouraged with tables and seating set out in the Town Hall for those really wanting to get in the spirit! We have our usual fabulous traders joining us so there's every reason to pop into town tomorrow 😄

We have another busy market planned for tomorrow! We’re delighted to welcome Wetherby and District Foodbank back, offering free picnics, along with a tombola and scavenger hunt for families to enjoy. 🥖🍎🍪

👋 📢 We'll be at Wetherby Market this Thursday, 20th August!
💚 FREE SUMMER HOLIDAY FUN! We had a brilliant response to our previous school holiday events, so with help from Tesco, we're doing it again! Once more, Tesco have kindly donated FREE kids' picnic bags and we will be giving these away for the first 150 completed Scavenger Hunt entries. Why not come along and see us for some FREE summer holiday fun? Drop by and play any time from 10am till 3pm.

💚 WANT TO MAKE A DONATION? There are a couple of options: either bring a tin from home to add to our collection crate or make a cashless donation using our contactless card reader. No obligation.

🌞It’s a scorcher today!🌞

What a great day on the market, with the town full of visitors, stalls, and activities.

We’re continuing our 6 Weeks of Summer activities, including fruit kebab making, cake decorating courtesy of The drizzle king , plus taste testing from The drizzle king and Simply Delish.

You can also climb aboard a fire engine while West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are here and say hello to the West Yorkshire Crime Prevention Officers (West Yorkshire Police), who are offering advice and domestic surveys to help reduce crime in your area.

Join us tomorrow for week 4 of our 6 Weeks of Summer! ☀️

We’ve got another fantastic market lined up, with all your favourite regular and new traders.

This week is Food Week on the market, with taste testing, cake decorating, a scavenger hunt, and a fun activity stall where children can make fruit kebabs! 🍓🍍

Keep an eye out for the West Yorkshire Police Crime Prevention Officers and Fire and Rescue Services who will be visiting throughout the day.

The Councillor Surgery will also be running as usual from 11am–1pm in Wetherby Town Hall, so please pop in with any Wetherby enquiries.
