Yesterday I was back at the Roebuck, Leek for my daytime Sewcial and there was lots of different things going on round the table!

Take a look at Witchy Stitch fabric journal in the last few photos! Yesterday Joanne was working on her mermaid, isn’t it gorgeous?!

Fabric journals are just like scrapbooks but for fabric! You can create collages in them with all sorts of different materials such as fabric, lace, ribbon, sequins, beads, paint, stamps and stickers.

They’re a lovely hobby to have, you can keep your needle and thread inside your journal along with fabric scraps and then sit and sew wherever you go or in front of the telly!

I sell them in my sessions but I’ll also be adding them to my website to buy in the next week or so with a full tutorial of how to make your own and what to add into them.

3 of my new kits involve hand stitching: Fabric Journal, Heartfelt Hearts and Bead Embroidery.

But all of these only involve a very simple stitch which anyone can learn.

My values are strong for my little business and that means what I do isn’t suitable for everyone.

I don’t profess to be an artist, I’m far from it. I’m a creative person who loves to see people happy, making things simply because it makes them smile.

I believe in finding beauty in everyday things and repurposing as much as possible. We can all find things at home to use to make something cute. This means crafting is accessible to more people, especially financially.

Imperfect, wonky and totally handmade is the name of the game here, if you’ve loved making something then that’s fine by me!

So if you think this is a bit of you.. or you’re a wanna be crafter who wants to get started, I’ve got something for you.

I offer in- person sessions and soon I’ll be releasing my slow stitch kits for you to create at home. And I’ll help and guide you all the way regardless of which you choose!

I’ve been working so hard behind the scenes and I can now tell you all about what I’ve been up to!

💎 In the next week or so, I’m going to be releasing a small range of Sew it at Home Kits and video tutorials!

They will be:

👜 Sew your own Tote Bag Kit with free video tutorial
💎 Bead Embroidery online tutorial plus kit options
📚Create your own Fabric Journal Tutorial plus kit options
🤍 Heartfelt Heart online tutorial plus kit option.

They will all be aimed at beginners, the totes are intended to be made using a sewing machine but all the others are slow stitch projects.

If you’ve never hand sewn before, why not join my free Skool community where I share free tutorials showing you simple stitches to get you started. These are all you need to make lovely projects using my new kits! (Skool members will also get 15% off any of the kits and tutorials!)

All the kits will be released in small batches as I’ll be using preloved fabric and materials in them. The tutorials will be available to buy anytime.

Today I’ve been over to studio at .st.studio for a working lunch with and

It was so good to get together, chat, bounce ideas off each other and just generally be there to support each other.

It can be tough working from home and running a business in your own so thanks so much ladies for lifting me up!

✨What is my Bead Embroidery all about? ✨

Basically it’s where we take little preloved and unwanted beads, add sequins and bits of old jewellery into the mix and create unique works of art on 4 inch embroidery hoops.

But it’s also a lot more than that….

It’s 4 hours of time for yourself, it’s relaxing steadily stitch by stitch, it’s chatting with like minded people, it’s enjoying cake and lots of brews, it’s feeling proud at the end of the session of what you’ve achieved ❤️

Come and join me on my next Bead session in Congleton on Sat June 6th 10-2pm, £38 pp.

I’m back after a little break away!

Have you all had a good Bank Holiday?
We’ve been nursing our dog who had an op last Thursday so it’s been a bit of a strange one really.

But tbh it has been nice to not go anywhere! I’ve done some bits of work that needed to be done in between reading and watching crap tv but it’s been round the clock care for her so we’re a bit shattered!

But we had been away with family for a few days to the Lakes before all this which was just lovely.

Even though I’ve been going up there for such a long time, we still find new places to go to every year.

It was a proper reset and I really needed it.

But back to work it is! I’ve got lots to do this week which I’ll tell you all about later!

And I’m going to be back with Sewcial Club this Friday at the Roebuck… would you like to join me?
