New in — Sculpta Ceramics Homeware at The Artisan Cave.

We’re delighted to have a fantastic new collection of handmade homeware from Sculpta Ceramics.

This wonderful collection includes teapots, cafetières, honey pots, salt and pepper pots, money boxes, sugar shakers and so much more — all lovingly handcrafted in Longton.

Featuring beautiful skyline designs inspired by the iconic buildings and landmarks of Leek, Buxton and Stoke-on-Trent, each piece is a lovely celebration of our local towns and the places we know and love.

What a fantastic day we’ve had here at The Artisan Cave.

It’s been one of those days that has really reminded me why we started The Artisan Cave in the first place — a love of handmade, creativity, and supporting others. A day I really needed after the last few months.

It’s always wonderful to hear so many lovely compliments about the selection of products we have in the shop, but one comment today really made my day.

One lady said, “I didn’t realise your stock was from independent businesses. I’m so glad we came in now and supported you.”

And that means so much.

Every purchase made here 100% supports independent makers, artists and crafters — real people who put their time, talent and creativity into what they make.

Below is just a small selection of the wonderful makers we have here at The Artisan Cave, and we feel incredibly privileged to have them with us.

I’m proud of what we’ve created here.

Have I always got everything right? Absolutely not.

Have I made mistakes? Absolutely.

I’m human. But I’m also 100% committed to The Artisan Cave, to our makers and to continuing to build something that celebrates creativity and gives independent businesses a place to shine.

I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings for our makers, artists and crafters.

Thank you to everyone who walks through our doors, supports us, supports our makers and chooses to shop independent. It genuinely means more than you know.

I don't know where you've all disappeared today, but darn it's quiet.

So, with that in mind I'm going to be closing at 3:30pm - especially now the rain is trying to make an appearance too. It'll be off to the post office for me.

But fear not, we'll be back open tomorrow from 09:3am for a weekend packed full of sunshine and shopping. 🌞🛍

How is it Friday already? And how are we in October?! Where on earth has this year gone? Anyone else feel like they’ve blinked and missed it?

After a fantastic summer, we’re in that little lull of calm before the Christmas chaos begins… although I say “begins” — I think it might already be starting.

I can’t tell you how many customers I’ve heard mention the big C word already. Some are buying gifts, others are saying they’ll be back to do their Christmas shopping. 🎄🎅🎁

I absolutely love hearing those conversations — customers wandering around, chatting about what their family, friends or loved ones might like. There’s something really lovely about hearing all those little plans being made. ♡

But what do you think… is it too soon to start getting ready for Christmas? Are you already secretly planning? Or are you already done? I know a couple of my friends will be. 👀🤯

After reading one of their most recent Facebook post's I wanted to tell you about a special little place called Ye Olde Rock Inn, a family-run village pub just 5 minutes out of Leek by car near the Roaches in Staffordshire.

I really love the feel of this place. It’s warm, friendly and relaxed, and you feel welcome from the minute you walk in. It’s somewhere I’d happily stop again after a walk for a drink, but equally somewhere I’d choose for a lovely meal with family or friends.

For me, the food is a big part of what makes it special. It’s proper homemade food, using locally sourced ingredients and you can tell that care has gone into it. The homemade desserts are definitely worth saving room for too.

They’ve received some well-deserved awards over the years, and having visited, I can understand why.

What I like most about Ye Old Rock Inn is that it simply feels like a proper village pub — good food, good drinks, lovely people and a really welcoming atmosphere. It’s somewhere I always enjoy visiting and would happily recommend to others.

My beautiful friend has a birthday coming up in December, she's having a gothic themed party and she’d absolutely love something like the fairies pictured below to go on top of her cake. The cake will be red with black lace and rose details.

Does anyone here make anything similar, or perhaps know someone who does? We'd love to support a small business or local maker if possible.
