We are a treasure trove of a gift shop with something special for everyone. We specialise in natural bath and beauty products including gorgeous brands such as Neal’s Yard Remedies, Lily Lolo, Handmade Naturals and Wild Olive. We have a beautiful

selection of natural home fragrances and create our very own handmade Be Candles pure essential oil soy candles, wax melts, and artisan candles in our basement workshop. We also stock Country Candles, Katie Loxton and Amphora Aromatics. We have a fabulous range of Joe Browns clothing, and stunning jewellery, scarves and accessories ranges from Powder, Joma Jewellery, Katie Loxton and more. We have an interiors and homewares department featuring Gisela Graham, Joe Browns homewares and vintage glassware and furniture. We sell gorgeous Garden gifts from Burgon and Ball and have a large range of interior pots, beautiful silk flowers, garlands and wreaths. Under our roof we also have:
My Calm; our treatment centre which offers wonderful massage, holistic therapies, ear & body piercing, beauty treatments, a floatation room and a Tropic Ambassador.

Did you know there’s an app called YUKA that allows you to scan beauty, skincare and bath products (and food items too!) to check their ingredients, toxicity levels and how natural they really are? 🌿📱

We absolutely LOVE it at Becalmed and actively encourage our customers to download it and use it when shopping for everyday products. In fact, we’re currently moving price stickers away from barcodes in our shops so that customers can easily scan products while browsing! 🙌

Why? Because we genuinely believe in the beautiful brands we stock. 💚
Many of our products score incredibly highly on YUKA thanks to their natural ingredients, ethical values and gentle formulations — and we’re really proud of that.

At Becalmed Mental Health Awareness Week is something we’re proud to support — but caring about people’s wellbeing isn’t just something we think about for one week a year. It’s part of who we are, every single week. 💚
Through our regular Live at Five weekly wellbeing chats, our calm and welcoming spaces, and our wonderful team in Leek and Ashbourne who are always happy to lend a listening ear, we try to create somewhere people can pause, breathe, chat if they need to, or simply enjoy a peaceful browse.
We also love seeing people using our little Worry Jar stations outside the shops — a gentle reminder that sometimes it helps to put your worries down, even if only for a little while. ✨
Life can feel heavy at times, and whilst we’re not counsellors or therapists for mental health, we do believe strongly in kindness, connection, calm spaces, self-care, and checking in with one another.
So this week, be gentle with yourself. Rest when you need to. Talk when you need to. And remember — you don’t have to carry everything alone. 💚
