🧒 👶 Queen Elizabeth II is the longest-reigning monarch in British History, she is no stranger to children having four children herself, eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. To coincide with us launching a small range of children’s t-shirts we take a look at some of our favourite memories of Her Majesty meeting children on various tours on home soil and abroad.

☀️ Today has been quoted as being the hottest day of the year so far, it reminds us of the time The Queen was in high spirits as she hosted a garden party at The Palace in May 2018. Her Majesty appeared to be enjoying the sunny weather as she made a rare appearance in sunglasses, although she still had her trusty umbrella close by just incase.

Queen Elizabeth II has been the monarch of the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and New Zealand for over 70 years and she is now the longest-reigning female monarch in history and the fourth longest that is recognised as sovereign for most of their reign whilst also being verifiable by an exact date.

Her Majesty is fourth in the longest reigning monarch by Johann II who reigned for 70 years and 91 days (The Queen will have reigned longer than this on the 8th May), Johann II was the Prince of Liechtenstein between 1858 and 1921 and ascended to throne shortly after his 18th birthday.

The second longest reigning monarch is Bhumibol Adulyadej who reigned as the monarch of Thailand for 70 years and 126 days between 1946 until his death on the 13th October 2016 (aged 88).

And finally the longest reigning monarch of all time is Louis XIV of France, who was King of France from 14th May 1643 until his death on September 1st 1715, making his reign an impressive 72 years and 110 days.

⏱️ Let’s look back at some of the famous faces The Queen has met during her seventy glorious years as monarch. Her Majesty has crossed paths with some of the most famous people across the entertainment industry throughout her years in formal settings such as meeting David Beckham for the first time when he received his OBE in 2003 and also as pictured in 2015 at a reception at Buckingham Palace.

📽️ Likewise, she has met many of music’s most recognisable stars including Marilyn Monroe Cliff Richard, Elton John, Jenifer Lopez and The Spice Girls amongst many others. Alongside this she has met some stars at the beginning of their careers such as being pictured with Dame Maggie Smith (before she was a Dame) in 1966 at the premiere of her film Othello, and she was also pictured with Dame Judi Dench back in 2005.

🖼️ In August 2021 the official emblem for The Queen's Platinum Jubilee in 2022 was revealed.

🥇 The emblem was designed by 19 year old graphic design student Edward Roberts, from Nottinghamshire. Edward's design was selected as the winning entry of Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Emblem Competition, run in conjunction with the V&A Museum.

👑Join us as we take a look at some of the photography from the day of Her Majesty’s coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey, for many the day can be remembered as the first to ever be televised gaining an audience of 27 million people in the UK alone with many more millions across the globe.

💐The Coronation Bouquet was made up of white flowers – comprising of orchids and lilies-of-the-valley from England, stephanotis from Scotland, orchids from Wales, and carnations from Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.
