A huge thank you to everyone who came to see us today at the Loughborough Artisan Market.

As always, it was lovely catching up with familiar faces, meeting new customers and talking far too much about jewellery, wildlife and, of course, Javier!

As much as I enjoy market days, there’s always one part I look forward to most… coming home to be greeted by my favourite blonde.

Before anyone gets too excited, I’m talking about the four-legged one. 🐾💛

The welcome home committee was in full force this evening, complete with cuddles and a very thorough investigation into whether I’d brought him anything interesting, which I did of course!

I think it’s fair to say he was pleased to see me… and, if I’m honest, I was even happier to see him.

We are all set up at Stockyard Melton Mowbray and here till 1pm today.

I also have a little bit of sad news. I have decided that this year will be the last year for Twelve Silver Trees.

I am struggling with chronic insomnia and severe pain and I can no longer run things by myself.

While my business has been my life for many years I am at the point I can’t do it anymore. So our Christmas events will be our last.

But keep an eye on us, we still have quite a few months left and there are some absolutely stunning designs in progress.

What a lovely place this is. The market is full of incredibly talented makers, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the surrounding streets are absolutely picturesque. If you’ve never visited Ashbourne before, it’s well worth the trip.

📍 Ashbourne, we’re finally coming!

I’m a little late posting this (as usual! 🤦‍♂️), but tomorrow you’ll find us at ashbourne maker market with the lovely Makers Street

It’s our first time trading in Ashbourne, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what everyone has been telling me is such a beautiful town. If you’re planning a wander around the market, please do come and say hello – I always love putting faces to names, especially if we’ve chatted online before.

I’ll be bringing a wonderful selection of our handcrafted sterling silver jewellery inspired by wildlife, flowers, folklore and the changing seasons, along with a few pieces that don’t always make it onto the website.

Dear Facebook…

Can we have a little chat?

I know I spend most of my life looking at jewellery. I love jewellery. Always have, always will.

But believe it or not, I do occasionally need to search for things that have absolutely nothing to do with jewellery. Markets, events, suppliers, local businesses, random bits of research… you know, all the boring grown-up stuff that goes with running a small business.

So why, every single time I search for something, do you decide I’d much rather look at 437 silver rings, 378 pairs of earrings, 19 sponsored jewellery adverts, a few tiaras and a partridge in a pear tree?

Your search function has become about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

I’m sure it’s me that’s using it wrong… except I’m equally sure it isn’t.

Right, rant over. I’m off to Google the thing I was trying to find on Facebook in the first place.

Thanks, Zuckerberg. 🙄😂

🐾 Javier Update 🐾

A little update on everyone’s favourite market supervisor…

The cooler weather has definitely helped him, and I’m pleased to say he’s been much more comfortable over the last few days. He’s still very much my little shadow, following me from room to room whenever he thinks there might be something interesting happening… or, more likely, food.

We were back at the vets this week and they were really pleased with his progress. In fact, they’re now starting to reduce his diuretics, which is another positive step in the right direction.

He does seem to be going grey at an alarming rate though. Every morning I seem to spot another few silver hairs appearing around his face. I keep telling him it makes him look distinguished, but somehow I don’t think he cares as long as the treat jar still opens on demand.

Most importantly, that tail is still wagging.

We’re still taking everything one day at a time and making the most of every good day. I know I’ve said it before, but thank you all for the incredible kindness you’ve shown both of us. Your messages, comments and stories about your own much-loved pets have genuinely helped more than you’ll ever know.

If you’re in the Coventry area on Saturday , you’ll find us at Indie Markets by ACM canon park until 5pm.

Do pop over and say hello if you’re nearby – we’d love to see you, and I know there will be plenty of people wanting to hear how our little supervisor is getting on.

Well… that’s another weekend packed away, the gazebo has survived, my feet are reminding me they exist, and the jewellery is back home for a well-earned rest! 😄

A huge thank you to everyone who came to support us this weekend, both at Atherstone Farmers & Artisan Craft Market on Saturday and Market Bosworth Farmers Market today

Whether you treated yourself, found the perfect gift, stopped for a chat, or simply admired the jewellery, every visit, every purchase and every kind word means far more than you probably realise. Supporting independent businesses really does make a difference, and I’m incredibly grateful.

A big thank you also goes to all the wonderful traders who make these markets such friendly places to be. It’s always a pleasure to trade alongside so many talented people.
