Good dresses last for years. This one is from 5-6 yrs ago. I know loads of women don’t like nylon in the heat but I find if you sweat at all, it dries very quickly. Not that sweat has been a problem. The first few days in Rhodes, were puffa jackets and jeans. Even now the sun is out, there’s a breeze. Just as well as I’m not getting any chance to actually sit on a sun lounger 😩
Back home tomorrow x

How lovely when the sun comes out? Still pretty cold unless you find a sheltered spot. So I have lighter or brighter coloured knits which I maybe wouldn’t wear in winter but which instantly make you look more summery. And I’m wearing my boots without tights as I felt my legs were too white to expose just yet, abd the boots keep your legs warm.
I’ve had a lovely few days being super sociable which has recharged my batteries.
Now I’m back to the gym and exercise as I love feeling strong.
Have a great week 😎

Casual outfit for transitional weather.
The jeans are SO comfortable and loose, and the yellow trainers say “summer”.
The tricky one is the crochet top. It has holes in it which make it quite cold to wear when there’s a draft - so I’ve layered a similar coloured vest top underneath which doesn’t show but keeps me warm.
How are you getting it not getting on with balloon leg jeans?
Personally I love them snd have got a white pair for summer 😍

Trying to look less wintery whilst not getting cold!!
Hurry up warm weather….
My turn up jeans have been worn a lot in the last 2-3 years and will translate well in summer too, with trainers, sandals or sliders. Can’t wait to wear a flimsy blouse with them!
Anyone else sitting with a mountain of clothes they don’t wear, thinking “I must sell these or give to the charity shop”?
Have a great Wednesday 😎

Friday night out out!!
Lovely night out with the ladies and after
Lovely drinks, food and company.
It’s annoyingly cold at the moment and frustrating as it’s so sunny I’d like to have my shirts on, but it’s too cold! Not feeling much inspiration to buy any summer clothes yet, but that’s probably a good thing.
Note to self - must jet wash patio and start gardening 😱

This is the outfit I wore to my nieces civil wedding ceremony at the weekend. An amazing day with 4 generations celebrating - little Teddy aged 17 months and my parents aged 89 & 90. (Both have full set of marbles, sung in a choir and my Dad still manages a rental property)
The next celebration is in Menorca in June. 🌞 🏖️
My dress was bought at Christmas on the sale page of greatly reduced. I 💕 it. Swishy, comfortable, great detail - covered buttons down the front, balloon sleeves and deep cuffs.
Last week I saw the best production ever of The Rocky Horror Pitcure Show I first saw it in Leicester Sq 45 yrs ago. Still knew all the words! The cast were fab, encouraging heckling, singing and interaction. Not laughed so much in ages 😍
And now a week of chores and gardening as I’ve been AWOL for a few months skiing and travelling. All your birds come home to roost eventually.
Have a great week 🤩

An outfit from a week or so ago. I live in the country so am permanently in and out of cars and therefore favour a jacket to a long coat, but this one is still a favourite and quite eye catching.
My knitted fair isle top is actually a sleeveless jumper (tank top if you’re old enough 🤣) and I’m comfortable wearing one with a blouse, now it’s warmer. Normally I’d need a full jumper to be warm enough.
Can’t wait for the warmer weather and T shirt and shorts weather 🌞 🏖️ 🌼
Have you bought anything recently? I just seem to have a whole wardrobe full of jeans - barrel, flare, skinny, cargo, turn up, crop etc Anyone headed down that route too??
Currently in the Alps skiing so if I get a chance, I’ll post some photos. We’re having a reunion of everyone we knew who worked seasons in the eighties.

Had a lovely weekend in London with my eldest daughter. At my current stage in life, I’m mostly in dog walking clothes and gym kit, so a trip to the city, nice eateries and cool shops was very welcome. We also watched Wuthering Heights. Anyone seen it? Apparently there are mixed reviews, but if you don’t assume it follows the book too closely, it was a lovely film.
We also hired Lime bikes which was a hoot and a great way to see London on a Sunday when the traffic was quiet - once I’d got used to the surge in power as you set off 🤣🤣
It’s tempting to start buying summer clothes as soon as the sun comes out but I’m trying to be restrained as inevitably I buy something I’ve already got, or the item doesn’t go with any of my existing summer clothes which are still packed away 🙄
Hope you gave a great week and the sun continues to shine 😎

There’s a hint of spring in the air 😍
What a relief from the rain.
Last week I had a delightful walk near Chipping Norton and actually walked in my T shirt (momentarily) We drove past Jeremy Clarksons Diddly Squat Farm - obviously had to pop in and buy something. The sourdough bread was AMAZING.
Hope you’ve got some great plans this week. A touch of sunshine inspires so much hope and happiness 🌞

I seem to prefer a crop Jean over an ankle boot to full length trousers, so when I found these burgundy cord jeans at M & S, I loved them but was disappointed they were full length! So I cut them off above the ankle and now love them with my burgundy patent ankle boots!
This was taken before I went off in the camper van to brave the wind and rain in Yorkshire and Lancashire ☔️☔️

Weren’t we lucky with the weather yesterday - a dry day 💪🏻💪🏻 Come on sun - you can do it! Come and say “hello” 🌞 👋🏻

What I wore for a casual meal at our local pub. Not too dressy but smarter than jeans and jumper. As I get cold I struggle with just a blouse, so this blouse is layered over a s/s jumper. The whole look is quite seventies, as the blouse has shoulder tabs and breast pockets. The jeans are a 70’s flare. The polo neck jumper is quite 70’s but it’s the gold earrings which tie it all together. Felt very Charlie’s Angels in my inspiration 😇
