MONDAY MAKES
We asked the members of our three club groups to show us what they've been making – and look at this lovely collection!
We had everything from first attempts and club projects to framed pieces, gifts and completely different ways of using our designs. We absolutely loved seeing every single one.
This is exactly why we love Monday Makes. A Hannah's Room kit might start with the same fabrics and design, but once you start stitching, every finished piece becomes your own.

August is here, and with it comes a brand new collection... introducing Sunlit Province!

Inspired by the warm colours and peaceful landscapes of Provence, this month's designs feature rolling lavender fields, golden hills, cypress trees and sun-drenched stone buildings, all brought to life using beautiful batik fabrics.

Beach Days has arrived!

Our July Club Collection celebrates everything we love about the British seaside with three coordinating Beach Days designs – one for each of our monthly clubs.

Whether you enjoy the relaxing hand stitching of our Slow Stitch Club, the creativity of our Journal Quilt Club, or the smaller, achievable projects in our Postcard Club, there's a design ready to inspire your next stitching session.

Each kit includes carefully selected batik fabrics and full step-by-step instructions, with our Slow Stitch kit also including the coordinating cotton perlé threads. The three designs complement one another beautifully while each offering its own unique interpretation of the theme.

If you've been thinking about joining one of our clubs, we'd love to welcome you. There's no long-term commitment – simply pay the monthly invoice when you'd like that month's design and skip any month you choose.

The group behind the event produces some beautiful work and exhibitions like these are always a great opportunity to enjoy quilts up close, discover new ideas and celebrate the creativity within our quilting community.

✨ And just like that, our Summer Retreat has come to an end. ✨
What a truly lovely week it has been.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this retreat such a relaxed, friendly and creative few days. From the moment everyone arrived, the room was filled with laughter, encouragement, inspiration and, of course, plenty of fabric!
We've seen an amazing variety of projects taking shape this week – quilts, cushions, lanterns, dressmaking, landscape pieces, patchwork blocks and so much more. One of the things we love most about our retreats is seeing everyone working on their own unique projects while sharing ideas, skills and support along the way.
Thank you for embracing the workshops, joining in with the fun, sharing your creativity and helping to create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The feedback we've received has been wonderful, and it means the world to us.
A special thank you to every guest for making this week what it was. The projects are beautiful, but it's the friendships, conversations, laughter and memories that make these retreats so special.
We hope you've travelled home feeling inspired, refreshed and ready for your next creative adventure.

Summer Retreat 2026 – We're Underway! ☀️🧵
What a lovely start to our Summer Retreat!
Yesterday was all about arrivals, settling in, catching up with old friends, meeting new ones and, of course, getting the sewing machines unpacked and humming into life. The room was soon filled with fabric, creativity, laughter and plenty of projects already taking shape.
It's always wonderful to see everyone putting their own stamp on their work, sharing ideas, helping each other and enjoying some dedicated time to create. From quilting and foundation paper piecing to hand stitching and everything in between, there is already so much inspiration around the room.
A huge thank you to everyone for helping to create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere from day one. We can't wait to see how all these amazing projects develop over the next few days.

🌧️ It's a rather soggy Monday here at Hannah's Room, with the rain hammering down outside and the kettle working overtime!

But a lovely email from a customer brightened our day. She'd taken one of our kits away on holiday and has now finished it – and it got us thinking...

🧵 What a Week at Hannah’s Room! 🧵

It’s been one of those wonderfully busy weeks that reminds us just how lucky we are to be part of such a creative community.

On Monday, we spent the day with the lovely ladies of Bridgnorth Quilters, teaching one of our textile workshops and seeing lots of beautiful projects taking shape.

On Wednesday, we headed to Cosby Quilters to give our Beauty of Batiks talk. It was a fantastic evening sharing the story behind Hannah’s Room, our love of batik fabrics, and the inspiration behind many of our designs.

Thank you to everyone who came along, listened so enthusiastically, asked questions, and spent time browsing our kits and finished samples afterwards. It was lovely to meet so many fellow textile enthusiasts!

And yesterday we were on the road again, setting up our stand ready for the Spalding Quilt Show, which opens today and continues tomorrow. The stand is packed with textile art kits, our new Quiet Moments Collection, Family Tree kits, and plenty of colourful batik inspiration.

Today we spent a wonderful day in Bridgnorth teaching our Journal Quilt Workshop.

It was lovely to see the room filled with creativity as everyone worked from our range of Hannah’s Room journal quilt designs, choosing fabrics, layering shapes and bringing each piece to life in their own way.

From Highland cows and swallows to puffins, poppies, sunflowers, cottages and florals, each project had its own personality, even when working from the same design. That's one of the things we love most about fabric collage — the fabrics, colours and individual choices made by each maker ensure that no two pieces are ever quite the same.

There was plenty of concentration, laughter, inspiration and cake throughout the day, and it was wonderful to watch the projects gradually take shape as confidence grew and the designs came to life.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today and made it such an enjoyable workshop. We can't wait to see your finished pieces once the stitching and embellishments have been added.
