Round 8 of the
I've been really sick when I've been running. Along with everything else I'm juggling, I'm in titration for ADHD meds which are making my heart and body go a bit wild.
My heart rate keeps spiking and it is making me sick, even though I 'feel' like I'm going really easy. I was super sick for 4 runs in a row and actually threw up ๐คฎ at both parkrun and a race last weekend, despite doing 12:30 mins miles ๐
So, I'm watching my HR and as soon as it gets close to 170, I'm walking until it gets below 150, then jogging again. I managed 3 miles tonight without feeling sick. I do believe my body will get used to the stimulants and regulate itself in time. It's a learning curve and a journey. I'm seeing benefits iny focus and productivity at work. And I'm sleeping better at night and feeling less tired in the evening. So it's looking positive, if I can just teach my body that it isn't dying every time I exercise!
It couldn't have come at a better time, because my GNR is all about running slowly and knitting fast. But it does mean I am unable to do my usual hills and speed work which I miss.
Anyway, the scarf is progressing and it makes a highly effective sweat band ๐
