Clearly not paying enough attention this evening.

I mixed up the amount of material I need for a large tray but poured it into a medium sized one.

Tried to scoop it out to make my trusty turtle sidekicks so it’s not wasted but the mess is insane.

Remember that tray that broke during demould?

Here’s how it turned out!! Far from perfect but I think it’s quite unique!!

So heartbreaking when this happens.

Last night I poured this beautifully subtle beige 30cm tray for a customer but on demoulding I realised I didn’t leave it quite long enough to cure and it fell to pieces in my hands 😭😭

It’s such a balancing act getting the timings right based on the temperature in the studio. There are benefits to demoulding whilst still slightly soft but the downsides are catastrophic 🙈

But alas, the great thing is that this can be salvaged by remoulding and pouring the missing part but here is where I need your help……

What colour/style should I match this with? The same beige marble knowing there will be an obvious line? A flat/block colour, maybe the natural off white or a shade of beige? Or maybe you have another idea?

Let me know in the comments what you think I should do. Maybe I will choose your idea…. And I may even send it to you for free (subject to being in the UK and your choice being possible)

Glad to see my trays are being used for what they were made for 😂😂

The poor plant and coasters just got discarded and now it’s a Lego tray.

I will be selling off all of my old stock at “You choose” prices. Yes that’s right, you decide how much to pay. It is all stock made when I was finding myself as an artist and I don’t have the heart to put it in the bin, especially when it could be the perfect item for someone.

My current lines will also be on sale at discounted prices.

Now all I have to do is make sure I don’t spend more than I sell 😂
