Our Re:loved by Havens Hospices shop on Leigh Road is celebrating a very special milestone next week - 30 years of preloved treasures, brilliant bargains, and amazing support from our local community!

Join us in store on Friday 14th & Saturday 15th August as we celebrate 30 years together - we're offering the first 30 customers a surprise discount! Every visit helps us continue to provide expert, compassionate care to babies, children and young people living with incurable and complex conditions, and to adults in the community.

Today we say a huge thank you to Stuart Palmer and Time Capsule as the doors close for the final time on Leigh Road on Saturday 30 May 2026.

For more than 20 years, Stuart has been part of the fabric of the Leigh Road community, trading from various locations before creating the wonderful treasure trove that so many of us came to know and love at the former ‘Jim’s Joint’ butchers site.

Packed floor to ceiling with antiques, jewellery, paintings, curios, collectibles and hidden gems, Time Capsule has never just been a shop — it’s been an experience. A place where every visit uncovered something different, every conversation came with a story, and everyone was made to feel welcome.

Customers have described Stuart and Time Capsule as:

⭐ “Always something interesting to discover”
⭐ “Friendly, knowledgeable and fair”
⭐ “One of Leigh’s hidden gems”

Stuart has been a true friend to the Love Leigh Road community and an important part of what makes Leigh Road special — independent, personal and full of character.

While this chapter closes, it’s not quite goodbye, as Stuart will still be trading at antique fairs in his semi-retirement. We wish him every happiness and success for the future and thank him for the memories, the stories and the countless treasures he has helped people discover over the years.

If you’ve ever visited Time Capsule, now is the perfect moment to pop in one last time, wish Stuart well, share a memory and maybe even grab a final bargain before the doors close.
