BELATED GRATITUDE....

We opened Leigh Gallery Books on 3 December 1985.
So we recently passed the 40 year mark.

We didn’t celebrate because…hey!…what’s so clever about running a bookshop. Any fool can do it. In fact, a low I.Q. with a disregard for profit is a positive advantage.

But then it occurred to me. 40 years wasn’t so much an achievement as a bloody miracle*.

Made possible by a small but dedicated group of customers/friends.

So this is a sincere thank-you to all our customers, past and present, for your kind support.

What we be without you? Another place to eat?
