Ethan worked his magic on this bedroom, and what a transformation.

It’s nice to see something a little different for a change too. We fit plenty of beige and grey carpets, but this customer wasn’t afraid to add a bit of colour, and we think it’s paid off. The carpet ties in perfectly with the rest of the room and really brings the whole colour scheme together.

Sometimes stepping away from the “safe” option is exactly the right choice. We love how this one turned out. 👌

🌶️ Supporting Another Little Family Business 🌶️

Today we came across The Little Curry Pot, and if you’re anywhere near Lowton, it’s well worth a visit.

It’s run by another hardworking family business with a brilliant story. He met his wife online, moved over to her region of India, learned to cook authentic family recipes from scratch, and brought those recipes back to the UK. The result is proper, traditional Indian food made without all the unnecessary additives.

If you’re trying to eat a bit healthier but still fancy a takeaway, this is about as close to a guilt-free cheat meal as you’re likely to get.

And whatever you do… try the Egg Puffs. We’re not even going to tell you what’s inside them because it sounds too simple to be that good, but trust us—they’re absolutely outstanding.

Another staircase completed by the team, and we think this one looks absolutely spot on. 👌

This customer opted for a profile-fitted stair runner rather than a waterfall fit. Profile fitting means the carpet is tucked and pinned neatly under the nose of each step, giving a tighter, more tailored finish. It’s a little more labour-intensive, but many customers prefer the cleaner, more fitted look.

We also finished the staircase with brass stair rods and matching brass door trims, which work brilliantly together and really finish the job off.

One extra touch we love on this one is the matching hallway runner. Rather than letting the offcut from the stair landing go to waste, we had it professionally made into a runner, giving the hallway and staircase a seamless, coordinated look.

Another beautiful Tromso herringbone LVT installation, this time fitted by Martyn.

Tromso continues to prove that you don’t have to spend a fortune to achieve a premium-looking floor. It offers fantastic quality, timeless styling and outstanding value for money.

For this project, our customer chose a single plank border, finished with a black feature strip that perfectly frames the herringbone design. We think they absolutely nailed the combination – it’s subtle, elegant and really makes the centre of the floor stand out.

A fantastic choice by the customer and another first-class installation from Martyn and The Little Carpet Shop.
