Meet my beautiful nephew, Ewan. 🎈

Ewan is 2 years old and lives with Allan-Herndon-Dudley Syndrome (also known as MCT8 Deficiency), a rare genetic condition that affects muscle tone, development and strength. Despite his challenges, he is the funniest, most loveable little boy who adores Raa Raa the Lion and Paddington Bear.

On 15th November, his daddy and my husband Tom are taking on a gruelling 53km gravel cycling race in the Peak District to raise money for the specialist equipment and therapies Ewan needs. These include a new pram, a specialist bed, and access to therapies that will help him take precious “inchsteps” forward.

Every penny raised will go directly to supporting Ewan and easing the pressure on his incredible parents, my sister, Nic and her partner, Craig, who dedicate *everything* to helping him thrive.

Getting all of my ducks in a row ready for getting back into my little studio next week 🦆 and have ordered the yarns and put together my swatch sheet to pin on my little page here.

✨ I’m back (slowly but surely!) ✨

After taking some time away to raise my two little ones, to move house and everything to settle again, I’m so excited to gently step back into this little venture and to get making and sharing again. 💕

You might notice The Crafty Buzzard has had a little glow up!... I’ve had a little rebrand!
Welcome to Little Buzzard Studio 🪶🌈

The name is a nod to my lovely little town (Leighton Buzzard) and this special season of life, filled with little people, little hands, and the joy of making things for their little spaces. It feels like the perfect fit for where I am right now. I am also lucky enough to now have my own little room (we'll call it a studio 🤣) to work from at home instead of having to do everything from my sofa/dining table!

Thank you for being here with me through the pause and now the new beginning. I’ll be easing back in, sharing creations, stories, and lots of heartfelt makes for nurseries, playrooms, and beyond. I've already had some order over on my Etsy before I even announced I was back, so if you're one of those, thank you! I appreciate you.

So for now, normal service will resume with small steps, a slow reintroduction and more handmade magic.
