A secret longing, and already missing our recent baking yellow summer. Though throughout the baking days I was forever grateful. As I think the main reason the field of flowers stayed happy, was getting them in the ground nice and early - with time before the heat set in for them to get well established.

Always in awe of Mother Nature. As we emerge from wintery days how perfect to be surrounded by the delicious uplifting palette of yellow, with more delicate splashes of blues and earthy magentas. 💛

Expectations at the start of every growing year have for some years been the same - the longing to strive for a perfect garden, w**d free and forever productive, as well as terrible nerves nagging away that maybe the year no flowers will grow. But over the years of striving to grow as many flowers as possible in a season, I’ve realised the best way forward is to embrace the unexpected. And inevitably oodles of w**ds and lovely bugs and flowers will follow. Wishing all the best to fellow flower growers for the growing season ahead. 🍀
