Bigton Community Shop “Owned and Operated by the Community” Regular deliveries of fresh meat, fish and vegetables and from local bakeries. Licensed Grocer.

Daily papers, frozen goods, local crafts and cards and a wide variety of other stock are always available. Bigton Post Office is open 12 Hours a week (Mon-Thu 9.00-11.00; Fri 2.00-4.00; Sat 9.00-11.00). Owned and operated by the Bigton Community Enterprise Ltd

And the freezers are in! 🥳 Along with a new fridge in the store. A huge thank you to the four lovely boys from George Robertson Ltd, and Jamie Laurenson for wrangling with the railings and the front door.
We are grateful also to Shetland Islands Council for funding through the Rural Retail Services Scheme which enabled us to purchase more energy efficient freezers.
They will be fully re-stocked on Monday.

🧊 We have new freezers being delivered on Saturday morning 😀 We'll have to store everything in the back freezer until we can re-stock the new ones on Monday morning. If you need any frozen goods for the weekend, please come and buy them today or tomorrow. (🍦Peerie ice creams, Magnums, etc. will still be available🍦)
There will also be some disruption during delivery but we'll try and keep the shop open as much as possible.
