Is this fly a waste of time and foam? 🤔🎣

I found one of these in a boat at Frandy a few weeks ago, and it was the first Fab Boobie I’d ever seen. Naturally, I had to go home and tie one! 😂

But I’m wondering… do these actually have a proper name, and are they worth fishing?

Has anyone got experience with them? Do they catch, or have I just wasted a perfectly good bit of foam? 🤣

Tied with our Pearl Pink Straggle and put together on a Stimulator hook just to see how it looked — and I have to say, I really like it! 👌

It gives the pattern a slightly different profile and I think it could work really well.

Alex has taken the traditional Soldier Palmer and adapted it into a bumble-style variant, and I absolutely love how this one has turned out. 🖤💛

Sometimes you just can’t beat a proven classic — and this looks like it could be a proper fish catcher!

The minkie popper saved my bacon from a mentith blank . Finally got a fish to the net at 16:31 and then another at 16:40 after struggling all day !
