Our Farmshop
Blacketyside Farm Shop is open 6 days a week all year round. Ready picked fruits are available straight from our farm fresh or frozen. When in season we always have a selection of varieties of freshly picked strawberries, raspberries and other soft fruits with samples so you can try before you buy. In order for you to be able to enjoy our fruit with no food miles all year round we f
reeze our fresh fruit during the season so there are strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, redcurrants, gooseberries and blackcurrants always available in our freezers. We also grow potatoes and some vegetables for sale in the shop and we source other vegetables from local farms wherever possible. Homemade cakes, pies, jams and an extensive range of soups and ready meals are cooked daily in our farm shop kitchen for sale in the shop. We use traditional farmhouse recipes and as many ingredients as possible either straight from the fields or fresh from Steve Mitchell’s butchery counter in the shop. This means that food miles are kept to a minimum and again the freshest, quality product is available to our customers. Our aim is to provide our customers with an enjoyable shopping experience,- smiling faces,a warm welcome, easy parking, lots of fresh, local produce and interesting gift ideas. In our tearoom we aim to provide good homemade food served by friendly staff in a relaxing atmosphere. Our delicious Blacketyside breakfast is served from 9am until 11am and then we serve breakfast rolls, scones, freshly made pancakes and lots more until 11.30am when a selection of soups, sandwiches, light lunch dishes and specials are available until 3:30pm - there is something to suit everyone’s tastes. If you have a sweet tooth from 9am our cake counter is bursting with homemade goodies made in our kitchen by Lesley and her team. Try one of our freshly grounded coffees by Matthew Algie or one of our refreshing selection of teas. . The staff will try their utmost to accommodate your needs to make sure you enjoy your visit.
