Goodbye and THANK YOU! ❤️🐾

From the Hounds that helped me get started by spreading the word about my little store, to online orderers, regular in-store shoppers and all of the beautiful creatures that came and enjoyed a groom or a treatment in our Hound Treatment Room, thank you! (Lots of you will be in this little montage.) You made my job fun, hairy, unpredictable and rewarding. I mean, how many people can say that about their day-to-day!

Our doors are now closed and fittingly the last bath today was for .of.lewes. My little staffyjack pal 🐾

I have been overwhelmed by people’s kindness and support and I am really grateful for the many people who’ve been in touch about mobile grooming because they ‘can’t imagine going anywhere else’. My spaces will be limited around my new job and I will only be able to travel within Lewes, but if you are interested, please do email me at [email protected] 🙏🏼

A reminder of our opening hours this week 🐾 Thank you all SO much for all of your gorgeous comments and messages yesterday is response to my post. I’ll get back to you all later today. HOUND IS CLOSING

I’ve written this post in my head what feels like a million times, trying to find the words. I’ll miss you all so much!

It’s been an absolute pleasure meeting the Hounds of Lewes and their wonderful humans and building relationships with you all over the last couple of years. It’s been an honour to see the difference that treatments in the Hound Treatment Room have made to your pooches and the way that force free and ethical grooming has built trust and confidence for even the most nervous of dogs. I’ve loved talking about sustainable choices, enrichment, positive reinforcement and cooperative care with you all and of course cuddles, treats and playing with your beautiful fur babies 🧡

For obvious reasons, it’s been difficult times in business 😅 and although after a tricky first year my little business has grown in the right direction my personal circumstances have changed in the last few months. I need to take time to manage a project over the summer for my family and I can’t do both effectively without too much financial risk.

Whilst I’m really sad and this has been a huge and difficult decision, the universe has done it’s weird and wonderful thing of opening one door for me as another closes! I have an amazing opportunity in the autumn to go back to my roots and work in an area that creates positive change in our world. More about that later, but I just wanted to say ‘all is not lost!’. If you’re having a tricky time right now too, please have faith and trust in your instincts. Nobody knows your path as well as you!

From today there is a ⭐️ 50% sale ⭐️ off absolutely everything in-store. It would be wonderful to see you all before I go and you’ll have the opportunity to pick up some high quality, handmade and ethical toys, treats and accessories whilst stocks last!

Finally, if you’re a regular in the Hound Treatment Room and would like to speak to me about a mobile grooming service for your pooch in the comfort of your home, do pop in and speak to me or give the shop a call. My spaces for this will be limited around my new job, so the sooner the better if you want to guarantee a space.
