We’ve been getting asked a lot lately… “Are you still doing takeaway?”

The answer is YES! 🙌

We’ve just made a few changes to how we do things. Unfortunately, you can’t design your own sandwich anymore, BUT we’ve got our fridge packed with freshly made:

🥖 Soft sub rolls & wraps
🥟 Samosas
🌭 Sausage rolls
🥧 Pork pies
🍫 Delicious homemade brownies
🍯 Flapjacks

And YES… you can still get our delicious jacket potatoes! 🥔🔥

As promised… our menus! ❤️

Here are our breakfast and lunch menus for you to have a look through.

We’ll also have a selection of delicious desserts on our chalkboards, so there will always be something sweet to finish with. 🍰☕

And today, our delicious beef stew is cooking away in the kitchen, filling the place with the most amazing smells! 🤤🍲

We’re busy getting everything ready behind the scenes, and we’ll be releasing our evening menus very soon, ready for the launch of our evening service on 1st October! ✨

Another busy day today at 44 Bore Street ❤️

We’ve been getting everything ready for our new menu and our new way of doing takeaway — preparing all our savoury snacks, cutting cakes and getting everything ready for tomorrow.

It’s a big change for us, and there’s lots to learn as we go, but sometimes you just have to move forward and embrace the change! ❤️

One of the questions we keep hearing is:

“We didn’t know you had an upstairs area!”

It really is a lovely, big open space — perfect for breakfast, lunch or simply coming in for a coffee and relaxing on the sofas. We’re really looking forward to making more use of the space and showing you what we can do with it.

WHAT A DAY! ❤️🍽️🍸

Today has been absolutely amazing, and we couldn’t be happier with how our first Sunday at 44 Bore Street has gone!

The roast dinners were delicious, the cocktails went down a treat, and we are incredibly proud of our amazing team for making it all happen. ❤️👏

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us today, and it was so lovely meeting lots of new customers, as well as seeing so many familiar faces who popped in to say hello and wish us the very best of luck with the rebrand from Lunch at Loafers to 44 Bore Street.

We’re also really sorry to everyone who walked in hoping for Sunday lunch today. We were completely sold out, but don’t worry — we’ll be advertising our next Sunday Lunch very soon! 🍽️

We’re back open on Tuesday, and we’re also looking at when we’ll be opening in the evenings. We already have some exciting private bookings coming up, so keep a close eye on our socials for updates on our evening opening days and times. 👀✨

Today has been emotional, exciting and a little bit overwhelming — but most of all, it’s been AMAZING.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, visited us, shared our posts, sent messages and wished us well. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better launch. ❤️

TODAY IS THE DAY! 🎉❤️

After all the hard work, late nights, painting, building, cleaning, planning and more cups of coffee than we care to count… 44 Bore Street is finally launching! 🥂🍽️🍸

In just a few hours, we’ll be opening our doors for our SOLD-OUT Sunday Lunch, and we honestly couldn’t be more overwhelmed or excited!

I’m struggling to find the words to thank everyone for all the best wishes, positivity, encouragement and support you’ve shown us throughout this journey. It has genuinely meant the world to us. ❤️

We are so excited to officially launch 44 Bore Street — our restaurant with a fully stocked bar, offering a fantastic selection of drinks to complement your meal. 🍷🍺🍸

We can’t wait to open those doors and welcome all of our Sunday lunch guests today. It’s going to be a very special day!

DAY SIX — WE’VE DONE IT! ❤️🍾

I’ve got here after a long day at the hospital, and I honestly couldn’t be prouder of our staff today. They have absolutely smashed it! 👏❤️

I’ve walked in after a 13-hour shift and the restaurant is ready, the tables are clean, everything is in place and we are READY TO LAUNCH 44 BORE STREET TOMORROW! 🍽️✨

The chefs have been busy preparing all the food, and we are FULLY BOOKED for tomorrow’s Sunday lunch! 🍽️🥂

We’re doing one sitting, so nobody will be rushed. You’ll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy your meal, with an exclusive Prosecco, beer, wine or cocktail to enjoy alongside it. 🍾🍺🍷🍸

And although 44 Bore Street is first and foremost a restaurant, we’re also really excited to offer a large range of drinks to enjoy with your food.

I honestly can’t put into words how overwhelmed I am by the team today. The amount of work that has gone into this has been HUGE. It’s been a much bigger job than we originally thought, but seeing it all come together tonight makes it so worthwhile.

Because we still need to train the team properly and get everyone fully up to speed, we’ll be CLOSED MONDAY for staff training and preparation.

Then on TUESDAY, WE’RE BACK! 🎉

We’ll be reopening 44 Bore Street for breakfast and lunch, and we’re also incredibly excited to launch our NEW TAKEAWAY COUNTER! 🥪☕️🥐

So whether you’re joining us to sit down and enjoy the new restaurant, popping in for breakfast or lunch, or grabbing something delicious to take away — we can’t wait to welcome you!

And finally… 😂

While we were in Spain, I gave Carl ONE job — to choose some reserved signs.

So now we’re multi-lingual! 🇪🇸😂 I’ll let you decide whether he actually completed his one job successfully!

DAY FIVE — WE’RE ALMOST THERE! ❤️🍸

Wow… today has been a LONG one! I’m literally packing up now and I honestly can’t quite believe how far we’ve come.

Every single glass has been washed, cocktails have been practised, and the new food menu has been cooked, tasted and tried. 🍸🍽️

It’s been absolutely jam-packed, and at times it was very touch and go as to whether we were going to get everything finished… but were nearly there.

A massive shout-out to Dale at Bluebel Carpentry, who has absolutely smashed the bar today🔨🍺 It looks amazing, and we couldn’t be happier with it.

And apparently, I’ve given myself a little apprenticeship in wood staining! 😂 Who knew I’d enjoy it so much?!

There’s still a little bit to do tomorrow — stock the bar, have a really good tidy-up, get everything set up and prepare for Sunday — but we are SO close now!

I’m off to get some much-needed rest before we’re back at it tomorrow, ready for our OPEN DAY on Sunday! 🥂🎉
