Whoop whoop! This is great news.

The keys are officially in our hands 🔑

A new chapter is beginning at The Plough, Sleights.

We’re now under new ownership and, for the time being, the doors will be closed while we prepare for a full renovation.

Our vision is to bring The Plough back to life as a proper countryside pub somewhere the local community can be proud to call their own, while also becoming a welcoming stop for those visiting Sleights, Whitby and the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside.

Think good food, good drinks, cosy fires, countryside charm and a warm welcome whether you live around the corner or you’re just passing through.

There’s plenty of work ahead, and we’d love to take you along for the journey from the plans and inspiration to the renovation itself and, eventually, reopening the doors.

Here’s to bringing The Plough back to life. 🍻

Follow along for updates, behind-the-scenes and everything to come.

NEW CAMRA TV ADVERT GOES LIVE

Hey folks... I am looking for some feedback on the new CAMRA TV advert which has gone live in across the East of England today as a trial...

It's only 30 seconds long so isn't going to eat into your day too much... so, please take 30 seconds to have a watch of it on YouTube via the following link and let us know what you think...

The message is clear... we are looking to boost CAMRA membership to new levels and continue the fight for pubs and cask ale...

Watch the advert here --> https://youtu.be/Nou5DNAy-9E

(plus... please LIKE & SHARE this post so that it shows up to as many people as possible)

Just very well said. We need more of this to highlight the pressures on our unique hospitality industry. 👍👏

It has survived wars, recessions and national crises, but one business is questioning its future
