Hello, my name is Pirjo…
and I’m addicted to knitting.
There, I said it. 😂🧶

So, for the next fortnight, I’ve commandeered a couple of spaces in the shop and am having a little knitted wardrobe clear-out.

These are all pieces I’ve knitted over the last year or so — most originally intended for me or my daughter. I LOVED every single stitch… but apparently our knitted wardrobes are growing at a slightly alarming rate, because quite a few never actually made it into regular rotation!

So, rather than letting them sit there looking pretty, I’d much rather see them worn, loved and keeping someone warm.

Expect one-off handknits, quality yarns, mostly natural fibres, plenty of cables and absolutely no mass-produced nonsense.

And the prices? Priced to sell. Because I want these beauties out in the world, not taking up valuable knitting real estate at home. 😉

Well… THAT escalated quickly. 😂

The window display changeover happened a whole DAY early this week because you lot have been shopping it like there’s no tomorrow!

Three STABLES in less than a week have galloped off to Santa’s sacks 🎅🐴💨, so naturally we’ve had to shuffle things around and make room for our gorgeous autumn window.

And OH, it’s feeling autumnal. 🍂🍁 Think warm colours, cosy vibes, golden leaves, crisp mornings and that delicious little “I definitely need another jumper” feeling!

The sunshine is showing absolutely no intention of behaving like autumn, but frankly, we’re going with it. ☀️🍂

Can’t quite see the full fabulousness through those pesky reflections? Don’t squint at your phone like a detective. 🤣 Pop out for a little walk, come and see her in person and give our autumn window the admiration she clearly believes she deserves.

🎉 13 YEARS OF WITH LOVE FROM LINCOLNSHIRE! 🎉

Today marks 13 years since I accidentally opened a shop. 😂

There was no grand business plan. I simply wanted somewhere in Lincoln to sell my handmade things, couldn’t find a shop that worked… so I thought, “I’ll just open one then.”

And somehow, 13 years, several moves, countless opening-hour experiments and an alarming amount of faffing later… we’re still here!

Then in 2020 I went full-on Finn 🇫🇮 and opened a self-service second-hand shop, inspired by the model I knew from Finland. Created by me, loved by you.

joined under one roof, and today around 150 sellers fill this little place with handmade, pre-loved, vintage, art, craft and all sorts of things you never knew you needed until you walked through the door!

There have been trials. There have been tribulations. There have been plenty of “WHY DID I THINK THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?!” moments.

But mostly, there have been brilliant people.

Our sellers. Our customers. The people who share our posts, recommend us to friends, come back year after year and have made this accidental little idea into something I’m ridiculously proud of.
