Hansika’s been let loose on the window… and we think she’s nailed it!

This week’s theme is Mystic, and she’s filled our window with magical treasures, celestial vibes, sparkling jewellery, beautiful ceramics, crystals, vintage finds and just a little bit of mystery. 🌙🔮✨

⚙️🖤 Calling all steampunks… your next outfit upgrade has just landed!

The countdown to Weekend at the Asylum is officially on, which means it’s time to stop saying, “My outfit’s nearly finished…” and actually finish it!

We’ve just unpacked another fabulous haul of pre-loved steampunk treasures, including:

🌟 The Queen of Alternative Fashion has returned… if only for a little while! 🌟

If you shopped in Lincoln before Covid, chances are you knew Kim from Salamander, Lincoln . The go-to place for alternative fashion, festival wear, steampunk, and clothing that was just that little bit different. When Salamander closed, we were lucky enough to have Kim and her fabulous eye for fashion here at the shop before she finally retired.

Well… retirement clearly wasn’t quite sticking!

For the next month or so, Kim is back with a gorgeous collection of her trademark finds. Expect beautiful Italian linen, vibrant summer colours, effortless style, and the kind of quality pieces that make people stop and ask, “Where did you get that?”

Every item is a one-off, every rail is packed with bargains, and once it’s gone… that’s it. No restocks, no duplicates, no second chances!

Before I even had a couple of days off, the shop decided to have a complete glow-up without me!
Every shelf has been restocked, every corner has something new, and honestly… I don’t know where to look first.

The only problem? I’m supposed to be SELLING, not shopping… yet somehow I’ve already started my own little “must-have” pile.

Don’t panic though… I haven’t bought it all!
There’s still plenty waiting for you, and with new treasures arriving EVERY HOUR, you never know what you’ll discover next.

⚙️🖤 Steampunk has officially taken over our shop window… and we couldn’t be happier! ⚙️🖤

If there’s one weekend we look forward to every year, it’s Weekend at the Asylum. We absolutely LOVE it! It’s eccentric, wonderfully bonkers, brilliantly creative and completely unique. Best of all, it’s right here in Lincoln.

There’s genuinely something for everyone, whether you’re a lifelong steampunk, dressing up for the very first time, or simply coming to soak up the incredible atmosphere. In our opinion, it’s the friendliest event in Lincoln, and we’re 100% here for it.

Our window is now proudly flying the steampunk flag, and over the coming weeks we’ll be filling the shop with an ever-growing collection of pre-loved steampunk clothing, hats, goggles, corsets, accessories and all sorts of glorious curiosities.

So, if you’re planning your outfit, need those finishing touches, or just fancy admiring some fabulous Victorian-inspired fabulousness, come and have a browse.

My Work Experience – Blue Sea Window Display 💙🌊

Hi, I’m Hansika, and during my work experience at With Love From Lincolnshire, I had the chance to help create and photograph this beautiful Blue Sea themed window display!

I loved seeing how all the different shades of blue came together, from handmade gifts and artwork to pre-loved clothing, homeware and seaside-inspired decorations. It was really interesting to learn how a window display is planned to catch people’s attention and tell a story.

Taking these photos was one of my favourite parts because it showed me how colours, lighting and the way items are arranged can make a shop window feel welcoming and creative.

Tuesday Teapot Tale

It’s Tuesday. The kettle’s on. The to-do list is already longer than you’d hoped… and then along comes a little llama to remind you to slow down.

This gorgeous Paperchase Probellama teapot has wandered into our pre-loved shop looking for a new home. With its beautiful mint green glaze, textured design and the cutest little llama perched proudly on the lid, it’s impossible not to smile.

Imagine this: ten minutes of peace, your favourite tea, a biscuit you don’t have to share, and this cheerful little chap keeping watch over your brew. Sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference to your day.

The best part? By choosing pre-loved, you’re giving something lovely a second chapter instead of buying new. Good for your home, good for your wallet and good for the planet too. 💚♻️💚
