Morning/afternoon petals!

Yawn.

🥱

I completely missed the Toronto eclipse yesterday as we were in the pool, which was fun because there was a rain storm. One minute we were swimming and the next being deluged with big old fat rain. In the end we stayed in the hot tub hoping it would buzz off but it didn’t.

It’s a lovely clear morning here today and a normal work day for Mr H. I’m considering getting the car out of the garage and driving out for a while, visiting some old haunts.

Nothing too exciting.

You? How’s you?

Good morning, campers, Tia here.

How are you all doing? ❤️

But more importantly… did any of you see the eclipse last night? 🌕✨

We did. Just! 😂

I did try the mobile phone thingy, but that didn't quite go to plan. I did, however, manage to get some cracking pictures, if I do say so myself! 😆

Did you manage to get any pictures? I'd love to see them!

I was reading all the posts in the run-up to the eclipse and couldn't believe how much people were paying for glasses. £10! 😳 And on eBay, people were trying to sell them for even more.

It got me thinking about the eclipse back in 1999. There was a BBQ at Stu's house — we were just friends back then — and you couldn't give those glasses away!

Newspapers and magazines were practically chucking them in for free.

And then there were all the kids' TV shows showing you how to watch it without glasses… the shoebox trick, the water trick… basically every household had become a very low-budget observatory. 😂

It's funny how much things have changed in the last 30 years.

Back then, everyone seemed to be giving eclipse glasses away. Now, apparently, we're one eclipse away from becoming entrepreneurs. 😂

Anyway… whether you watched it through proper glasses, a shoebox, a puddle of water or just managed to catch a glimpse as we did, I hope you enjoyed it.

Here's to the next one — and hopefully by then I've worked out how to use my phone properly! 😆❤️

Hello Campers Tia here.

This magazine is my pride and joy, and over the last seven issues, it has evolved from a witchy magazine to one that explores the connection to the land around us.

I cannot believe that since this issue was released 12 days ago, I've had over 300 views! So, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has read it, shared it, and enjoyed it. My heart is grateful and full!

Good morning/afternoon from the city of Toronto!

Tired here as we had a great night out with friends! I’m not a huge fan of the tram, convenient but sweaty in summer. Was great to catch up at our favourite haunt when here . An English styled pub restaurant. Yes there is still a big tv upstairs in the sport lounge but the rest is more cosy pub vibe.

Love it.

It’s really humid in the city right now and thank goodness for air con!

How’s you?

We are heading to mid August already and my thoughts are already on to what’s next?

We are still in negotiations to move but as it’s part to service business it’s more complex. We will see and know hopefully by the end of the month if it’s doable? It’s 50/50 phone a friend at the moment.

Wish us luck! 🍀

Good morning/afternoon petals!

I’ve woken up in a huff as I’m not at the pool house in Fergus, I’m in siren hell! Last night for some reason the sirens were the worst ever!

Today the building has no water 9/5 which is probably a good thing, because the water is highly chlorinated and stings the skin! I’ve finally stopped Philip from filling the kettle with tap water here, as there isn’t a decent tea bag in the world to balance the bleach taste!

Why is supermarket basil here only $5 and 12 times the size? Just asking?

Now I’m back in the city my soul is as empty as my pockets or would be if I could fit Homesense in my suitcase! Autumn homewear on steroids here already! Pumpkin spice is back!

I’m a bit tired and cranky this morning, but I’m sure I will feel better later with a swim and a walk. We are meeting friends at the Queen and Beever tonight so that will be nice.

How’s you and what have you been up to this summer?
